Fall Flowers Tent Card

I couldn't wait to do one of these tent cards. I have seen so many pretty ones in the SCS gallery. It was really easy to make and lots of fun. I'm really using the heck out of those rhinestone brads. I hope you don't get tired of seeing them. They are so pretty in real life. Stamps: Just Like You; Paper: Old Olive, Really Rust, Soft Sky, White, Fall Flowers Designer, Soft Sky Designer; Ink: Really Rust, Soft Sky, Basic Black; Accessories: Circle Rhinestone Brad, Hodgepodge Hardware, White Gel Pen, Marvy Uchida Giga Scalloped Circle Punch, Coluzzle.

Prima Whimsey

I didn't get to stamp yesterday and I felt like I needed a fix so here's the first thing I have created tonight. I haven't used any of my prima's in a long time and they look really cute with the new rhinestone brads in the center. I used the rock-n-roll technique on the butterfly. Still liking these new colors. I will try to stop using them so much because I don't want to get burnt out on them. Oh well, maybe later. Stamps: Garden Whimsy, Whimsy Jumbo Wheel; Paper: River Rock, Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky, White; Ink: River Rock, Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky, Bue Bayou; Accessories: Primas (Non SU), Circle Rhinestone Brads, Crafter's Tool Kit, White Gel Pen.

Double-Line Doodles

I've had this set almost a year now and thought it was about time I played with it some more. I got it last September at the Cincinnati, OH Regional Meeting. It was to be a new set in the Fall/Winter catalog therefore I could not demo it until the new catalog started, almost a year later. It is a really cute set with a paisley border stamp that I love. I used several in-colors on this card as I am still obsessing over them. Stamps: Double-Line Doodles, Curvy Verses; Paper: Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Groovy Guava, White, Soft Sky Designer; Ink: Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky, Groovy Guava, Basic Black, Black Stazon; Accessories: Circle Rhinestone Brad, Regular Mini Brads.

In the Spotlight

This is my last card for the weekend. Not sure that I like this one that much. It was hard to pull together. I couldn't seem to get the colors right. It's just my least favorite of any I made this weekend. I do really like the flower stamp from this set though because it perfectly matches the new 5-petal flower punch. Stamps: In the Spotlight, Double-Line Doodles (sentiment), Whimsy Jumbo Wheel; Paper: Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Sahara Sand, Groovy Guava, White, Fall Flowers Designer; Ink: Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black; Accessories: Circle Rhinestone Brads, Groovy Guava Double-Stitch Ribbon.

Bright Baroques

The first thing I thought when I got this card finished was "Wow, these colors would look good for Christmas cards" so this may be the colors I use. This set is so classy. I think the new in-colors are great and the ribbon this year is so much better than the ones we had last catalog. I like that all 6 colors are available also. This was another simple card that turned out looking like I put a lot of time into it but I didn't. Stamps: Baroque Motifs; Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, River Rock, White; Ink: Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Choc. Chip; Accessories: Purely Pomegranate Double-Stitch Ribbon, Circle Rhinestone Brads.

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #11

This is a card I made for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #11. I love this paper, Flowers for You Designer. It coordinates so good with the Just Like You stamp set. This set is the Ronald McDonald set this year. For every set that is sold, SU donates $2 to the Ronald McDonald House charities. Stamps: Just Like You; Paper: Lovely Lilac, Wild Wasabi, White, Flowers for You Designer Paper; Ink: Lovely Lilac, Basic Black, VersaMark; Accessories: Non-SU Ribbon, Marvy Uchida Mega Oval Scalloped Punch, Word Window Punch.

"Peachy" Baroque Motifs

Okay, those of you that know me well know that when this set first came out I hated it. I said I would never get it. But what happens when you see the gorgeous samples everyone is making with it, then you know you have to have it. This set has really grown on me. I love the Groovy Guava and River Rock together on this card. I don't do too many cards that have basically only 2 colors but I think this one turned out well. The flower part that is mounted with one of the new circle rhinestone brads was a pain to cut out. Too much intricate cutting but I'm really happy with the result. Stamps: Baroque Motifs; Paper: River Rock, Groovy Guava, White, Groovy Guava Designer; Ink: River Rock, Groovy Guava, Choc. Chip; Accessories: Circle Rhinestone Brad, Groovy Guava Double-Stitched Ribbon, Paper Piercer, White Gel Pen, Slit Punch, Dimensional.

Just Like You Pocket Card

I so love this pocket card. I got the idea from Cambria. You can see her card here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/615026?cat=500&ppuser=61. You can also view her blog at http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/. She makes some of the prettiest cards. I check her blog out on a daily basis. This is some of the new designer paper from the catalog called "Flowers for You". It's so much prettier in real life. The scalloped punch is also at the top of my "favorite things to use" list right now. It works so good with our circle punches. I got lots of goodies in this week to play with so stay tuned for many new examples this week. Stamps: Just Like You; Paper: Wild Wasabi, Regal Rose, White, Flowers for You Designer; Ink: Tempting Turq., Lovely Lilac; Accessories: Scalloped Punch, 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches, Round Tab Punch, Lovely Lilac Stampin' Write Marker.

Stamps: Garden Whimsy; Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou, White; Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou, Basic Black, VersaMark; Accessories: Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Purely Pomegranate Double-Stitch Ribbon.

Layer Upon Layer Upon Layer

This is my first card using the new set called Garden Whimsy. It's also the first time using my new scalloped punch. I know this card has many layers but I was inspired by Beate's beautiful card here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/608462?cat=500&ppuser=458. I love to look at her blog. You can view it at http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/. Stamps: Garden Whimsy; Paper: Groovy Guava, Purely Pomegranate, Certainly Celery, White, Old Olive Designer: Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Certainly Celery, Groovy Guava, Basic Black; Accessories: Purely Pomegranate Double-Stitched Ribbon, Scalloped Punch, 1 3/8", 1 1/4", and 1" Circle Punches.

Curvy Doodle

I had this ribbon from Mike's that I just had to make a card with. Most of the time I pick out my ribbon first and then match my cardstock to it. It's much easier then trying to find ribbon to match after you make the card. Although, I know I would have ribbon to match any card I make, I don't have to search for it at the end if I do it this way. I'm still loving the doodle look of all the new stamps. Stamps: Doodle This, Doodle That, Curvy Verses; Paper: Cool Caribbean, Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, White, Designer Paper from this year's Celebration Scrappin' Kit; Ink: Brown Stazon, Choc. Chip, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Non SU Ribbon.

Monkey Business

What a cute set. Garrett (my son) and I have had a lot of fun playing with this set. The bananas are stamped with summer sun and I added some brown on them with a SU marker to make them look more real. They are popped up on a dimensional. Stamps: Monkey Business, Weathered Background; Paper: Choc. Chip, Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, White; Ink: Choc. Chip, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa; Accessories: Markers in Old Olive and Choc. Chip, Dimensional, Non SU ribbon.

Dragonfly Petals

I think SU should keep this Groovy Guava paper as one of their colors. We don't have a "peachy" color like this and I love it. The bugs are really fun to make with this set. I cut the wings out of Wild Wasabi paper and then stamped vellum with one of the outline stamps in Versamark, added Iridescent Ice embossing powder, and then cut them out and layered them on top of the green wings. It gave the dragonfly a 3-D look. The body is punched with the small oval punch and the head is punched with a 1/2" circle punch. The tail is free-hand cutting. It was lots of fun to make. Stamps: Pick a Petal, Hugs & Wishes, All in a Row; Paper: Groovy Guava, River Rock, Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, Vellum; Ink: Basic Black, VersaMark; Accessories: Small Oval Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Black Stampin' Write Marker, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.

Scalloped Baby

I made this card for a friend at work (Katy) when she announced that she was going to have a baby. She is one of my stamping friends and is very precious. She is not finding out what the sex of her baby is so she and her husband have that to look forward to. What fun!!! Katy, I am so happy for you. Stamps: Greetings Galore, All in a Row, Fancy Flexible Phrases (sentiment); Paper: Choc. Chip, Old Olive, White, Paisley Designer; Ink: Choc. Chip, Brown Stazon, Watercolor Wonder Crayons; Accessories: Choc. Dotted Organdy Ribbon, Giga Scalloped Circle Punch by Marvy Uchida, White Gel Pen, Slit Punch, Coluzzle.

My Favorite Birdies

Yes, another birdie card. I just love this stamp from the Zoofari set. I actually love the whole set. Many people have claimed that they think it looks like the stamps were drawn by a 6 yr. old but I think that's what makes it unique. I have just gotten in some of the designer paper in old olive on my new order. It is so pretty. I really loved the pallet of prints when it came out in June. I have used up most of my pad and am looking forward to getting in many more colors. Stamps: Zoofari, Hugs & Wishes; Paper: Rose Red, So Saffron, White, Designer Paper in Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery and Rose Red; Ink: Black Stazon, Watercolor Wonder Crayons; Accessories: Paper Piercer, White Gel Pen, Yellow Dotted Organdy Ribbon.

Ladybug Petal

This Pick a Petal set is so much fun to play with. I love making the bugs. I used circle punches to make the head and body. I cut the circle punch I did for the head in half but I used the whole circle on the body and just glued the wings to the top of the circle. Stamps: Pick a Petal, Hugs & Wished, See You Around (wheel); Paper: Wild Wasabi, Black, White; Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Basic Black, Wild Wasabi; Accessories: Dotted Organdy Ribbon, Paper Piercer.

I Love the New In Colors

I'm so in love with the new in colors. Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi are my two favorites. I love SU's new scalloped punch also. I just wish it was bigger like the one on this card. Look for posts soon with the new scalloped punch from SU. I just got my first order in of merchandise from the new catalog. Talking about one happy chick when I got home. I immediately opened the box and fingered all my new stuff. I got my fix by just rubbing my hands all over it. Stamps: Year After Year, See you Around (wheel), Fancy Flexible Phrases, All in a Row; Paper: Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, River Rock, White, Black; Ink: River Rock, Basic Black, Black Stazon, Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi; Accessories: Circle Rhinestone Brads, White Gel Pen, Aqua Painter, Round Tab Punch, Giga Scalloped Circle Punch (Marvy Uchida).

Birdie, Birdie

This is my favorite stamp from the Zoofari set. If you keep checking my posts you will learn that the dotted organdy ribbon is my favorite right now. If you want to know how much ribbon I have think about this. I just told one of my friends that I need a new room added on to my house just to store my ribbon. Any color card I make, I have ribbon to match. Let's just say I'm a ribbon addict also. Wow, I just love talking about this stuff!!! Stamps: Zoofari, Vases in Vogue (sentiment, flower); Paper: Old Olive, Regal Rose, White, Paisley Designer; Ink: Black Stazon, Basic Black, Watercolor Wonder Crayons; Accessories: Round Tab Punch, Horizontal Punch, White Gel Pen, Circle Rhinestone Brads, Lt. Blue Dotted Organdy Ribbon, Paper Piercer.

Precious Baby Card

There are so many sets that I love in the new catalog and I'm really LOVING those new rhinestone circle and square brads. This card started out as a birthday card for a child but evolved into a baby shower card. This Year After Year set is so versatile. Stay tuned for more posts of this set. Stamps: Year After Year, See You Around (wheel), All Year Cheer (sentiment); Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, White, Paisley Designer; Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Black Stazon, Watercolor Wonder Crayons; Accessories: Square Rhinestone Brads, Paper Piercer.
