SC217 - What Do You Think?

This is for yesterday's Sketch Challenge SC217 at Splitcoast Stampers. Believe it or not you probably can't tell I used three different stamp sets on this card. The small squares have a stamp from the set A Beautiful Thing, the flower is from the Embrace Life set, and the sentiment is from the set Thoughts and Prayers, all by SU.

Thanks for checking me out today. Have a great week.

Wedded Bliss

Here is a card that I completed last week to win some Blog Candy over at The Greeting Farm but I forgot to post it in time to be entered in the contest. Oh well, I'm proud of the card anyway. I really like the way it turned out. The image is from the set Cake Topper. It's second in line to being my favorite Greeting Farm set. My all time favorite is Pretty Hat Anya. Yes, I love Anya stamps!!!

This is a short post as it is very late. If you have any questions regarding anything on this card please email me. I have a "Email Me" link on this blog. Hope you are having a wonderful week. Please come back to see me.

Happy Birthday Olivia!!

This is the card I gave my niece Olivia for her 6th birthday yesterday. This Cuddle Me Sophia from Paper Pretties looks just like her.

I started with a Rose Red card base and the designer paper is my favorite from SU called Raspberry Tart. Sophia was stamped with Black Brilliance ink, embossed with clear embossing powder and colored with Copics. She was cut out and popped with dimensionals. The piercing is done with a Paper Piercer and SU's Mat Pack. It's finished off with some ribbon from The Ribbon Retreat.

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow morning at 6 am Central for a special announcement from me and to see if you guessed right on my sneak peek. It's going to be a fun week on my blog!!! Thanks for coming by to check me out.

TECC56 - Beautiful Anya

Hello and Happy Friday. I am so excited to tell you that I am the Featured Cupcake Sampler over at Taylored Expressions today. I am so honored that Taylor asked me to create a sample to be featured on her blog today for her Friday Cupcake Challenge Sketch. Thanks Taylor!!

I flipped the sketch to accommodate the image I wanted to use for this sketch, my beautiful Anya stamp. I just love this Pretty Hat Anya by The Greeting Farm. She is so much fun to dress up and make pretty. I have added a lot of bling to my card today. First, Anya's hat has been paper pieced and the flower on her hat was stamped four times and cut out in pieces and layered with dimensions. I added Kiwi Kiss eyeshadow and put Diamond Stickles on top to make her eyeshadow sparkly. Her necklace has Liquid Pearls added to make it look like real pearls. I think you can see most of these special features on Anya in the close up picture I took of her. She has been colored with Copic Markers and the image was cut out with my Coluzzle. The card base is Riding Hood Red and the coordinating colors are Kiwi Kiss and the Bella Rose Designer paper pack. The scallop border was created with SU's Scallop Border Punch. It was punched out twice in Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss and then layered. I added Kaiser Rhinestones to the scalloped edges. It is finished off with Kiwi Kiss Grosgrain Ribbon.

Don't forget to stop over at Taylor's blog today and play along with her Friday Cupcake Challenge Sketch. It's a fun one. Thanks for coming by to visit me today and have a wonderful weekend.

SC216 & CC206 - Pretty Skater

Hello everybody. This is for Tuesday's SCS Color Challenge CC206 and Wednesday's SCS Sketch Challenge SC216. I pulled out my "Gliding By" Sophia from Paper Pretties to use for this card. Isn't she precious?

I started out with a 5x5 More Mustard card base. Sophia has been colored with Copics except for her dress. It was paper pieced with a piece from the Raspberry Tart designer paper pack. She was cut out and glued on a mat cut from the Rectangle Nestabilities. The lacy border is from a Martha Stewart Border Punch. The two round pieces were cut with Circle Nestabilities. The Rose Red designer paper is some SU retired paper. I added dots from a White Gel Pen on the Kiwi Kiss scalloped piece. The sentiment was stamped with Black Brilliance ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I added three designer brads and used Circle Fire Brads in the centers. It's finished off with Kiwi Kiss Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks for coming by to check me out today. Please come back tomorrow morning at 11:00 Eastern time. I have a surprise. Can't wait to tell you!! Have a great day.

MTSC31 - Inspired by Nature

This is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC31. Is this not a wonderful sketch? Mercy, you are a wonderful sketch artist. Your sketches just get better and better girlfriend {{wink}}!!

I pulled out my SU set Inspired by Nature for the sketch this week. I used the new Textured Parisian Breeze designer paper. Do you think the card has too much white on it? I wasn't sure once I got it together if the colors were OK. Please tell me what you think. The card base is Kraft and the coordinating colors are Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. I did ink the stamp with Sage Shadow, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip. I have found that Sage Shadow matches Baja Breeze pretty well when you need a marker for your stamp. I used a Lacy Martha Stewart Border Punch and finished it off with Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

I went to see the movie Paul Blart:Mall Cop today with my son and my Mother. If you have not seen this movie you need to. We laughed so hard our stomachs hurt. The movie is just plain hilarious and a good kid's movie.

Thanks for coming by on this Tuesday morning to check me out. Don't forget to stop by Mercy's blog and play along with her sketch. You'll have lots of fun. Have a great week.

SFYTT - Refuge & Strength

This is for Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try - SFYTT for today. I have had this set called Refuge & Strength from SU for a few months and I thought it would be perfect for this sketch. This was another fun sketch to play with today.

I started with a Bravo Burgundy card base and then I matted a piece of designer paper from the Parisian Summer pack with a piece of Pink Pirouette for the background piece. I stamped the main image in Bravo Burgundy and did the cross in the background with Pink Pirouette stamped off once before applying to the main image. The main image and the background piece have both been pierced with SU's Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. I used three Build-a-Brads with designer paper punched also from the Parisian Summer designer paper pack. It's finished off with some Non SU Pink Grosgrain Ribbon.

I'm getting ready to go eat Valentine's dinner with my hubby. Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's day and that the rest of your weekend is great. My son is off from school for Winter Break and does not go back to school until Wednesday. This is the first time I have been able to stay home with him during the Spring because I had been working in public accounting since he started Kindergarten. I am now a SAHM and really enjoying the extra time that I am getting to spend with him this Winter/Spring.

Thanks for coming by to check me out.

TECC55 - Chuck's Valentine

I used Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge TECC55 to make this card for Chuck for Valentine's Day. Isn't this new Anya and Ian image just adorable? It's a new Digital Image by The Greeting Farm. You can print it on your computer straight to the cardstock any size you want it. Love that!!

I started out with a Real Red card base. I used a Baja Breeze piece to mat the different pieces of the Ski Slope Designer paper on. The main image was colored with Copics and then cut out with Circle Nestabilities. It's finished off with Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon and Silver Brads.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day today. Get out there and kiss your sweetheart and tell them how much you love them. Thanks for coming by to see me and have a great weekend.

SC215 - Sympathy

My MIL needed a sympathy card so I pulled up this wonderful sketch, SCS Sketch Challenge SCS215, again to make the card. This is a great sketch.

I started out with this weeks SCS Color Challenge of Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, and Perfect Plum but ended up changing the Plum to Chocolate Chip. I'm not sure why I did that because the Plum would have looked just as good but once I got the Chocolate on there I wasn't going back to change it, KWIM?? The matted Pink Pirouette piece has been pierced with SU's Mat Pack and a Paper Piercer. The main image was sponged with Kiwi Kiss at the bottom and Pink Pirouette at the top then the stamp was stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink. The Pink Designer Paper is from the Bella Rose Designer Pack and the Kiwi Designer Paper is from the Kiwi Kiss Designer Pack, both from SU. The Sentiment is from a set I got at Archiver's and it's got about 75 words in it and is made by Impression Obsession, Inc.

Thanks for coming by to check me out on this beautiful Friday. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

SC215 - Doodle Wings

This is for SCS Sketch Challenge SC215. It was hard to get a good picture this morning because it's overcast here in beautiful Georgia and I think when I photoshopped the card I got it too bright. Oh well, I'll get a better picture and change it when we get some sunshine.

This was such a fun sketch to play with. I love lots of layers. I started out with an Old Olive card base and matted it with So Saffron and Regal Rose. The Rose piece has been embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The dragonfly is an image from the Doodle Wings set by Stampendous that I got at Archiver's a couple of months ago. I stamped the image with Black Brilliance ink and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. It was then colored with Copic Markers and embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to add some sparkle (not sure if it shows in the picture but it's very sparkly). I then cut it out and matted it on top of another stamped image with dimensionals. The main image has been matted with Rectangle Nestabilities. It's finished off with Silver Brads and Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon.

It has felt almost like Spring here in Georgia this week. Temperatures in the 70's. It has been wonderful. I hate to see it turn cold again.

Thanks for coming by on this Wednesday to check me out. I hope the rest of your week is wonderful.

MTSC30 - Bad Boy Ian AGAIN

How could I not use the new Rockabilly Designer Paper from SU with my Bad Boy Ian?? The paper matches his clothes perfectly, doesn't it? This is Ian from the Dress Me set by The Greeting Farm. I just love my Ian and Anya stamps.

This card is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC30. I thought this was going to be a tough sketch but I was amazed at how easy this card came together. It made me pull out those Carousel notes that I have had sitting there and never used. I started out with 2 Kiwi Kiss Carousel Notes. They were scored at the very top and put together with sticky strip to make them have a front and a back. I can't stand just a one piece card. The 2 circle pieces were cut with SU's new Circle Cutter (love it). Ian was colored with Copic Markers and cut out and adhered with dimensionals. The rectangle mat under Ian is a piece from the Kiwi Kiss and the Riding Hood Red designer paper packs. It has been pierced using SU's Mat Pack and a Paper Piercer. The word "Cool" is stamped with Black Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder then punched out with the 1" Circle Punch and layered with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch.

Make sure and visit Mercy's blog and play along with this week's sketch. The circle card is a wonderful challenge. Thanks for coming by to check me out.

MOJO72

This is for last Monday's MOJO72 Sketch. This is a last minute entry for the contest as 12:00 noon today is the deadline.

The designer paper is of course the beautiful Raspberry Tart and the coordinating colors are Kiwi Kiss and Real Red. The lace border was created with a Martha Stewart border punch. The flower is from the SU stamp set Always in My Thoughts and the sentiment is from the SU set Fresh Cuts.

Hope you have a wonderful week. It's 70 degrees here in Georgia today. Woohoo!!! Come back to see me.

SFYTT - My First Hanna

Isn't this just the prettiest girl you have ever seen taking a rest from working in her garden? This is Hanna and she is from the set I Love My Garden by Hanna Stamps. This is my first Hanna card and I really like how it turned out. Love that Tea Party designer paper from SU too.

I created this card for Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) from yesterday. The sunflower actually has a stalk on the pink cardstock behind it but I have mostly covered it up. I knew as soon as I finished the card that when people looked at it they would go "Did she mess up on that pink cardstock and try to cover it up?" Oh well, there is a nice pretty sunflower stalk hiding back there. LOL!! I have paper pieced her hat and her blouse with the Tea Party designer paper. The rest of Hanna is colored with Copics. She was cut out and popped on another stamped image of herself. The sentiment is all one stamp but has been cut apart and the I (heart) part was popped on top of a heart from SU's new 3-heart punch.

Hope this week finds you at a good place in your life. God has been good to me and I am very blessed at this time in my life. Thanks for visiting and please come back to see me.

SC189 & SFYTT

This first card is for my Dad's birthday which is today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! I used a previous sketch from SCS - SC189 to be able to fit this big image on my card the way I wanted it. This is the set from SU called Season of Friendship from the recently expired Holiday Mini Catalog. The sentiment was printed from my computer and them punched out. Please go to Beate's blog for a great tutorial on how I made the pieces the sentiment are on. She shows you how to make the SU 1-3/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches look so much better by not having as big of a border between them. That always bugged me anyway.

This next card is for Jen del Muro's SFYTT from last Saturday. I needed to get this one posted before she comes out with her new sketch tomorrow. I stamped the four smaller animals from the new SU set Animal Crackers and cut them out and mounted them on circle punches. The sentiment is from the retired hostess set from SU called So Many Sayings. They look like they could all be friends, don't they? See how they are all looking at each other.

Sorry my post has to be short today. It's almost time to go pick my son up from school. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

MTSC29 - Animal Crackers

This is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC29 this week. I absolutely love this new Tea Party designer paper but I had the hardest time making these colors work for me. Yes, I'm a bright kinda girl. I love the sketch and the designer paper so maybe I'm just crazy. What do you think?

Sorry for the short post but I'm battling a kidney infection and a fever of 101.7 right now. I will be back in a day or time to give you more details.

Please play along with the sketch this week. It's a good one.

TECC53 - MIL Card

This card is for my mother-in-law that is still in the hospital recovering from surgery. Barbara, we are praying for your quick recovery so we can get you back home. I used Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge TECC53 for the sketch. Love this sketch.

My friends Mercy Kerin and Ashley Ward came over to stamp with me on Saturday. We had so much fun. I borrowed this set from Mercy called Thoughts and Prayers by Stampin' Up! I just love this tree. I colored it with a Sage Shadow and Choc. Chip SU marker to get the two-tone effect. This paper (don't you just love it) is the new textured specialty paper called Parisian Breeze. It is so thick. The cardstock base is Choc. Chip and the background designer paper is matted with Baja Breeze. Everything else is pretty much straight forward.

Well, if you saw my previous post I competed in the Club Anya Blog Hop today to try and win some free stamps. I didn't win the stamps but I did win a pocket mirror that has an Anya image on it. Woohoo!!

Thanks for coming by to check me out. I hope you have a wonderful week.
