      AMYRS2 - Flutter Anya

I have another cute image for you today. I hope you are not getting tired of these cutesy images I have been using lately because I absolutely love them. This is probably my favorite Anya so far. I think she is just the cutest thing with her hair up in two buns and the butterfly wings on her back. She is called Flutter Anya and she is made by The Greeting Farm. I just can't get enough of their cute images!!!

This card is for Amy Rysavy's Friday Sketch - AMYRS2. I turned the sketch on it's side to fit my Anya image. I started out with an Old Olive card base and used Basic Black for all my mats. The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye. Anya was stamped with Black Brilliance Ink, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, colored with Copic Markers, and cut out and popped with dimensionals. The mat behind her has been cut out with Rectangle Nesties. While the white paper was still in the Nestie Die, I lightly sponged some Certainly Celery on the background before I mounted Anya. When you leave the paper in the die while you sponge you get a nice, even white frame around the paper. It almost looks like it has been mounted with white before the black mat was attached. The Butterflies are from a Martha Stewart Punch and they each have a Clear Kaiser Rhinestone on their back. The sentiment is from the set called Sentiments from The Greeting Farm. I stamped it on white card stock, sponged it with Certainly Celery and cut it out with the Word Window Punch. I punched a piece of Basic Black card stock for a mat behind the saying and mounted the sentiment panel with dimensionals. It is finished off with Basic Black and Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks for coming by to check me out on this Sunday afternoon. I hope your weekend is going great. Talk to you soon.

      MytimeSS10 - I love frogs!!!

This is for Lauren Meader's sketch challenge from last Saturday. She had three sketches listed for you to try. I tried the oldie but goodie sketch, MytimeSS10. I used the new set from The Greeting Farm called Down By The Pond.

I started with a Kiwi Kiss card base and used Raspberry Tart as my designer paper. The coordinating colors are Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, Cameo Coral, and Rose Red. I stamped the frog with Black Brilliance Ink, embossed him with Clear Embossing Powder, colored him with Copic Markers and cut him out with a Circle Nestie. The sentiment is stamped on Cameo Coral and cut out with the Large Oval Punch. It is matted with a Real Red piece cut out with the Scalloped Oval Punch. It is finished off with Kiwi Kiss Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and Designer Brads.

Thanks for checking me out today. Have a great weekend and I'll talk to you soon.

      OCCC - Meet Agnes

This is another card I did last weekend while on a stamping retreat. I would like you to meet Agnes. She is another cutie from the KETTO line at StampingBella. I did this card for the Our Creative Corner Challenge (OCCC) from March 28, 2009. The contest giveaway is already over but I really wanted to do this sketch so here is what I came up with.

I started out with a Regal Rose card base and used a Baja Breeze piece from the designer prints pack and a Regal Rose piece from the Sweet Always designer pack. The coordinating color I used is Old Olive for my mats. I stamped Agnes with Black Brilliance Ink, embossed her with Clear Embossing Powder, colored her with Copic Markers and cut her out with an Oval Nestie. The outside edge of the background piece has been pierced with a Paper Piercer and Mat Pack. The sentiment is from the Hanna Stamps set called Things Hanna Would Say. I finished up with some Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon with six Clear Kaiser Rhinestones added.

Thanks for coming by to check me out. It has gotten up to 88 degrees here in Georgia today. It was absolutely gorgeous. We are supposed to have a whole weekend of this beautiful weather. Hope your weekend is great. Talk to you soon.

      MOJO83 - Thankful Blossoms

This is for Monday's MOJO Sketch Challenge - MOJO83. I have never been crazy about sketches with panels turned any way but straight. I have a really hard time turning them but I guess that's why they call them challenges, to get us out of our comfort zone. Well this one surely did but I'm really glad I decided to do it because I like the way it turned out.

I started out with a Baja Breeze card base and used Slumber Party Specialty paper for my designer paper. The coordinating colors are Riding Hood Red, So Saffron and Baja Breeze. I used two different sets from Verve Stamps called Thankful Blossoms and Petals & Stems. The flower is stamped in Riding Hood Red and Basic Black. I colored the petals that were plain in Baja Breeze and So Saffron with a Aqua Painter and the ink pads. It is mounted on a Rectangle Nestie. The butterfly was stamped in Black Brilliance on Riding Hood Red and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I put two small Kaiser Rhinestones on the butterflies back. The Saffron piece at the bottom has been cut with a Martha Stewart Border Punch. The sentiment is stamped and embossed with Black Brilliance Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. It is finished off with Riding Hood Red Grosgrain Ribbon.

That's it for today. Two posts in one day is unusual for me. I hope you enjoy them. Come back and see me again tomorrow. Talk to you soon.

      WSC77 - Floral Beauty

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I went on a weekend stamping retreat this past weekend and WOW!! did I ever have fun. I laughed until I thought I couldn't laugh any more. Girls, thanks for a wonderful weekend.

I made this card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge WSC77 that's being hosted this week by Lori Craig from Make a Difference. I used Fifth Avenue Floral for this sketch and believe it or not I did not use any Patterned Paper on this card. I made my own background paper with the flowers by stamping them on White cardstock with Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Taken With Teal. The large flower for the main image was stamped with Black Brilliance Ink, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is stamped and cut out with the Wide Oval Punch and a Designer Brad is added to the top. It's finished off with some Tangerine Tango Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks for coming by to check me out. If I get a chance I may post another card later this afternoon that I did this past weekend. Have a great week and I'll talk to you soon.

      TECC64 - Pretty Miss Anya

Hello everyone!! I made this card for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge - TECC64. My friend Mercy got the new Miss Anya Collection set from The Greeting Farm and I had to use it. I've been wanting it since it was released a couple of months ago. Since we are at a stamping retreat this weekend I'm gonna use the heck out of it. Woohoo!!

I started with an Apricot Appeal card base and used Rainbow Sherbet as my designer paper. The coordinating colors are Green Galore, Apricot Appeal and Tempting Turquoise. I stamped Miss Anya with Black Brilliance Ink, embossed her with Clear Embossing Powder and colored her with Copic Markers. The main image is mounted with Rectangle Nestabilities. The small circle with the flower was cut out with the Circle Nestabilities. I used a white flower from SU's Pretties Kit and colored it with a sponge and Apricot Appeal ink. I layered it with another white flower from the kit and a designer brad. The sentiment was stamped on Apricot paper and hand cut for the "flag" on the sketch.

Thanks for coming by to check me out. It's beautiful, sunny and 75 degrees here in sunny Northwest GA today. Love it!! Have a great weekend. Talk to you soon.

      SC224 & KCI49 - Just Say Hi

This is my submissions for two challenges, SCS's Sketch Challenge - SC224 and Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge - KCI49. It's too late to put my card in the Mr. Linky on Kristina's blog but I still wanted to do the color challenge. I'm not sure that I accomplished what I set out to do with these colors though but I'm not starting over. Let me know what you think please.

I started out with a Pacific Point card base and used designer paper from the Raspberry Tart pack. The stamps are from Hero Arts. I stamped them with Black Brilliance Ink, embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder and colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment was also stamped with Black Brilliance Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. The ends of the sentiment panel have Clear Kaiser Rhinestones. The butterfly and the frog's crown have both been cut out and popped with Deimensionals. The main image panel has been cut with Rectangle Nestabilities. The frog's eyes also have small Clear Kaiser Rhinestones on them. It is finished off with some Pacific Point Grosgrain Ribbon.

That's it for today. Thanks for coming by to see me. I will be going on a stamping retreat this Friday morning (and staying until Sunday)with Mercy Kerin, my Mother-in-Law Barb, and another good friend Ashley. Woohoo girls, two more days!!!

      Talk to you soon.

      CPS111 & CC214 - Wedding Hanna

This card is a submission for two challenges this week, Card Positioning Systems Sketch - CPS111 and SplitCoast Stampers Color Challenge - CC214. I used a new stamp set I received this past Saturday from Hanna Stamps called Bridal. I think this Hanna that's getting married is absolutely adorable. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful stamp!!!

I started with a Bordering Blue card base and used Bella Birds as my designer paper. The coordinating colors are So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, and Chocolate Chip. Hanna was stamped with SU's Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, and colored with Copic Markers. Her wedding gown was highlighted with a Sakura Glaze Pen but I don't think the sparkle shows up very well in this picture. It's nice and glittery IRL as well as her earrings. The main image is mounted on Long Rectangle Nestabilities. I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink also, embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder and cut out with SU's Large Oval Punch. A designer brad has been put on the upper right corner of the sentiment panel. It is finished off with some White Organdy and Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks for coming by to check me out on this Wednesday. I hope to be working on SCS's Sketch Challenge later today so be sure to check back with me to see what I have come up with. Have a great week. Talk to you soon.

      MOJO82 and A Fish Story

This is my submission for Monday's MOJO Sketch - MOJO82. I used a new stamp set that I got from Archiver's and it's from Hero Arts. Isn't it a cute image?

I started with a Tempting Turquoise card base and used Pink Flamingo for my designer paper. The coordinating colors are Real Red, Summer Sun, and Cameo Coral. I stamped the giraffe and the butterfly with Black Brilliance, embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder and colored them with Copic Markers. I stamped the butterfly again and colored it with Copics, cut it out and mounted it with Dimensionals on the main panel. I then pierced the outside edge of the main panel with SU's Mat Pack and a Paper Piercer. The bottom edge of the background designer paper was punched with a Martha Stewart Border Punch. The sentiment (which is hard to see, unfortunately) was stamped with Black Brilliance ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. It is finished off with Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.

I want to show you another picture. It's of my son Garrett with a fish he caught while on a fishing trip last week with his Dad. He was so proud of himself and so were his Dad and I. He's going to be a great fisherman just like his Dad.

Thanks for coming by to check me out today. I hope you have a wonderful week. Talk to you soon.

This is for today's SCS Sketch Challenge SC223. I used the SU sets Fifth Avenue Floral and Elegant Thank You. The designer paper is Urban Oasis and the coordinating colors are Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Basic Gray. I started with a Whisper White card base. I stamped the flower on Kiwi for the main image mat in Black Brilliance. It was stamped again on White, colored with Copic Markers, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and cut out and popped with Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped with Black Brilliance Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. It's finished off with Kaiser Rhinestones.

MOJO81 - Always in My Thoughts

This is for Monday's Mojo Sketch Challenge MOJO81. This was a sketch that was way out of my box but I'm glad that I didn't let it get the best of me. Thanks Julee for a great sketch!!

I started with a Kiwi Kiss card base and used A Walk in the Park for the Designer Paper. The coordinating color is Cameo Coral. The stamp set is Always in My Thoughts by SU, except for the butterfly which is from the SU set Kind Thoughts. All three of the panels on this card were matted with Nestabilities but three different Nestie sets. I used the Circle, the Rectangle, and the Long Rectangle. The butterfly was stamped on the panel and stamped again and cut out and mounted with dimensionals. The butterfly stamp was first inked with VersaMark and then put in the Kiwi pad so I could emboss it with Clear Embossing Powder to make it shiny. It has a Clear Kaiser Rhinestone on its back. The flower pot image was colored with Copic Markers. The bottom has three Green Kaiser Rhinestones. It's finished off with some Coral Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks for taking the time to check me out today. Hope you are having a great week. Talk to you soon.

I started out with a Whisper White card base and used Walk in the Park for my designer paper. The coordinating colors I used are Cameo Coral and Basic Gray. AMYRS64 - Meet Suzette

This is for Amy Rysavy's Friday Sketch AMYRS64. This is the first time I have played along with one of Amy's sketches but it was a lot of fun.

I started out with a Tempting Turquoise Card base and used Rainbow Sherbet again for my Designer Paper. The coordinating colors for this designer paper are Apricot Appeal, Green Galore and Tempting Turquoise. I used another one of my new KETTO stamps from StampingBella for the main image. Her name is Suzette. Another cutie, huh? She was stamped with Black Brilliance ink, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, colored with Copic Markers, and cut out and popped with Dimensionals. I used three designer brads in the upper left corner and some Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon. It's finished off with a Martha Stewart border punch on the bottom.

Thanks for checking me out and have a wonderful weekend. Talk to you soon.

      TECC62 - Bright Butterfly

Good Saturday afternoon!! It is BEE-UTIFUL here today in sunny NorthWest GA. It's supposed to be 70 degrees today. Woohoo! Hello Spring! For those of you that don't know me very well, this is the first Spring I have seen in 5 years. I worked in public accounting for the last 5 years of my life so Spring was pretty much not existent in my life. As of this past January I am a SAHM again and loving every minute of it. Wow, God made such a beautiful place for us to live in, didn't he?

Now on to the card. This is for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge TECC62 from yesterday. I used SU's Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and a new Designer Paper Pack I got this week called Rainbow Sherbet. I also got a new Martha Stewart border punch yesterday while I was out on a shopping excursion with my great friend Mercy Kerin. I know most of you know this wild and crazy girl. Well, I just want you to know that anything you have heard about her is true. LOL!! I cut the main panel image out with Circle Nesties and sponged the background with Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore while it was still in the circle frame. My first time doing this after seeing lots of people do it and I love the technique. I stamped the butterfly outline first in Basic Black ink on the main panel along with the sentiment. I stamped the butterfly again on a piece of Apricot Appeal and filled it in with the flower background stamp from the set in Tempting Turquoise. I then cut it out and popped it with dimensionals on the main image panel. It is finished off with White Organdy Ribbon and three Silver Brads.

Thanks for coming by to check me out today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Talk to you soon.

      SU - Fifth Avenue Floral

I received some new Oval Nesties today and couldn't wait to play with them. I just got this stamp set, Fifth Avenue Floral, in this week too. Don't you just love the flowers in this set?

I started out with a Pink Pirouette card base and used Bordering Blue as my mat color. The designer paper is also new and it's the Bella Bird pack. I stamped several of the flowers with the Pink and Blue ink and then stamped another one in Black Brilliance ink, embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder, colored it with Copic Markers and cut it out and popped it with Dimensionals. The main image is cut with the Oval Nesties. I stamped the sentiment also in Black Brilliance ink and embossed it. My bling is three Dew Drops and it's finished off with some Pink Pirouette Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks for coming by to check me out on this Friday morning. Do you have any big plans this weekend? I'll probably just stay at home stamping, Saturday night anyway. Hope your weekend is wonderful. Talk to you soon.

      MOJO80 & CC212 - Easter Anya

This is for Monday's Mojo Sketch Challenge MOJO80 and for SCS's Color Challenge CC212. I thought it was time to print off my new "Digi" Easter Anya from The Greeting Farm and get that pretty girl on a card. Isn't she a cutie?

I started out with a Riding Hood Red card base and used designer paper from 2 different packs, Riding Hood Red Designer and Bella Birds Designer. The colors for yesterday's Color Challenge at SCS were Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, and Chocolate Chip. I printed Anya on to Whisper White cardstock on my printer and colored her with Copic Markers. I'm trying to work on getting a more watercolored look with my markers. Please let me know how I am doing? Suggestions are very welcome. Double click on the picture for a closer look. Anya is cut out and mounted with Rectangle Nestibilities. The upper left panel has 3 Kaiser Rhinestones and the ribbon is Riding Hood Red Grosgrain. I stamped the sentiment from one of my Easter sets from Stamps and Smiles that says "Hoppy Easter", perfect fit for this bunny image, don't you think? It was cut out with the Large Oval Punch and matted with SU's new Scallop Oval Punch. Piercing was added around the outside with a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer.

It's time tomorrow for another Sketch Challenge from Stamps and Smiles so check back and find out what you could win by playing along with the sketch.

Thanks for coming by to check me out. Have a great week and I'll talk to you soon.
