Treehouse Challenge THT017

Hello and welcome to another Treehouse Thursday Challenge THT017. Our challenge this week is "Alter It". I took a DVD tin and added some designer paper and used one of the new stamp sets, Autumn Blessings, that is being released today along with 3 other sets from Treehouse Stamps. I am so ready for fall here in Northwest GA.  It has just this week dropped from the high 80's to the 70's.  Starting to feel like Fall is finally coming. I made a couple of 3x3 cards to go in the DVD tin. Cute, huh? Come on out and play along with our challenge this week. It's a fun one. Altering things gets me out of my mode of creating cards only. Link your card to the Mr. Linky on the Treehouse Blog and when you upload to a public gallery make sure and use the keyword THT017

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back in a few with another project. Talk to you then.

Treehouse Stamps Sneak Peek #2

Hello again.  I have another sneak peek for you of our new set called Best Witches.  I had a lot of fun making this card too.  This is a set of 12 and I used 4 of the stamps on this card.  Cute Halloween card, huh?  Yeah, I'm my biggest fan. LOL!!  I stamped the cauldron on white paper, colored it with Copics, cut it out with Label Nine Nesties, and then sponged Blue ink around the image.  Such a fun technique.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card.  This stamp set will be available tomorrow night, September 30th, at midnight along with 3 other sets at Treehouse Stamps.  Make sure you check out the new goodies.  AWESOME!!!

Thanks for visiting again.

Mystery Monday - I {Heart} Punches

Hello and happy Monday again.  Today is Club Anya's 2nd Mystery Monday Challenge and today's challenge is called "I {Heart} Punches".   Wow, was this challenge ever fun.  I made a skull with crossbones with circle punches, square punches and the scallop border punch.  Took me a while to make it but was well worth the effort.  I used the Matey set from The Greeting Farm, my first time to ink her up.  Love her as I do all the TGF images.

This card is also for Taylor's sketch TESC84 from this past Friday.

Thanks for stopping by again today. I hope your week is starting out wonderful for you. I'll talk to you soon.

Exciting Announcement From Me!!!

Hello and happy Monday. I have some exciting news today. I have been asked to be a guest designer for the Little Paper Shop from Oct. - Dec. 2009. Woohoo!!! I am showing you a sneak peek card today with a stamp set called Katie Caroler that will be released this Saturday, Oct. 3rd, along with 3 other Christmas sets. Isn't this just the cutest stamp set? Katie is so pretty standing there singing her songs. We are using Sketch Challenge LPS35 this week, see below. I used some non-traditional Christmas colors for this card, pink and sage, but I think it turned out quite cute. I have always used red and green for Christmas so this was definitely a challenge for me. Love it though. Make sure you use the keyword LPSC35 when you upload. This week's winner will receive this Katie Caroler set from the Little Paper Shop. Now go check out what the other DT members have come up with too, see links below. You won't be disappointed!!!

Jessica Diedrich - Design Team Coordinator

Thanks for stopping by today. I will have more sneak peeks for this Saturday's release on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this week so check back to see more fun sets.

2 Cards for You - Halloween Themed

Hello and happy Sunday. Sorry I didn't get a chance to post yesterday so I will show you 2 cards today to try and make up for it. This first one is for this week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at The Greeting Farm blog. This week's challenge is an awesome sketch by the uber-talented Cindy Haffner. I used the totally cutie patootie set Spooktacular. Aren't these baby Anya and Ian's just adorable dressed up for Halloween? I just love them!! I did flip this sketch on its side to accommodate my images.

This next card is for this week's challenge over on the Crazy4Challenges blog. This week's challenge is another sketch by guess who, yeah Cindy Haffner again. I told you she was awesome!! LOL. I used the newly released Halloween set from the Little Paper Shop called BOO. I just love this cute Halloween set. So many possibilities!!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your weekend has been a good one. I'll talk to you soon.

Beautiful Things

Hello and happy Friday. This card is for this week's Sketch Challenge SCS247 and Color Challenge CC237 at SCS. I used my new set from the Little Paper Shop called Beautiful Things. Isn't that a pretty sentiment on the front of the card? I wasn't too crazy about this week's colors for the color challenge (Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Currey, and Basic Black) until I got them on the card. Doesn't that always seem to happen? They are really bold and look quite good together.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll see you tomorrow with another card. I'll talk to you soon.

Classy Swans

Hello again on this beautiful Thursday morning. This is my card for Jen's Sketch For You To Try from this past Saturday. My friend Mercy has all the Verve sets so during our stamping retreat this past weekend I used a few of her sets. This is one that was released this past week called Swan Song. I love these elegant swans. It may be hard to tell but they were stamped on some DP and cut out. They have not been colored. This was a super fast card but I love the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by again today. I'll talk to you soon.

Happy Birthday to You

Hello and happy Thursday. It's time for The Treehouse Blog's Thursday Challenge THT016. Our challenge this week is the "Masking Technique". I stamped my cupcakes using this technique. It makes them look like they are stacked one on top of another. I really like the masking technique as it gives your project more dimension.

I really hope you can play along with us today. Make sure and add your card to our Mr. Linky and when you upload to a public gallery, use the keyword THT016. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll talk to you soon.

Mystery Monday

Hello and happy Wednesday. I have a card for you today using a new challenge over on the Club Anya blog. Every Monday they will be letting one of their readers issue a "Mystery Challenge". Doesn't that sound like fun? This Monday's challenge was by Joni Wilson, former guest designer for Club Anya. Joni's challenge is called "Joni's Rule of Three's". The details are: 1) You must use these three colors: Pink, Black, and White and 2) You must use THREE different embellishments. I just adore pink, black and white on a card so this was easy for me. I also love embellies. For my embellies, I added some organdy ribbon, a snowflake punch, and a designer brad in the middle of the snowflake punch.

It has been a wild week here in Northwest GA with all the rain. Our schools were closed Monday and Tuesday due to all the flooding and numerous streets and highways are closed. Wowzers!! Please pray for all the family that lost their homes due to flooding.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a wonderful week. I'll talk to you soon.

Here I Come 1980

Hello and happy Tuesday. Here is my card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC40 for this week. I used my new 80's Anya from The Greeting Farm. Don't you just love her leg warmers? I can remember when those were so popular. Remember the movies Dirty Dancing and Footloose? I just loved the 80's. Big hair, shoulder pads, leg warmers. So funny to look at now but this Anya is a cutie patootie 1980's girl. LOL

This card is also for last Friday's Farm Fresh Friday challenge "Emboss It" over at The Greeting Farm. The Rose panel has been Cuttlebug embossed and the sentiment was stamped with Black ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

Now go head on over to the other Muses's blogs and see what they have come up with. When you upload your card use the keyword MTSC40 so that we can find you.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow with another card. I'll talk to you soon.

First, it's for today's Little Paper Shop Challenge LPSC34 to use the colors Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Summer Sun and second, for today's Card Positioning Systems Sketch CPS134. I used the digi image Jena and Hank from the Little Paper Shop, another adorable image which was lots of fun to color.

Your Love Lifts Me Up

Hello and happy Monday. I stamped this card during my stamping retreat this weekend. This was a stamp set of one of my friends so of course I forgot to write down the name of the stamp set when I was finished. So, I don't know who made this awesome image. LOL. If you do please let me know. I made this card for this past Friday's Viva la Verve Sketch VLVSEPT04. The twist for the card was to use Black & White. I hope they don't mind that I added some pink also.

Thanks for stopping by today and check back here tomorrow for a Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge card. I'll talk to you soon.

Hello Savannah

Hello and happy Sunday. I'm still on my stamping retreat and I just finished making this card with my new Savannah stamp from The Greeting Farm. OK, can I just say right now how much I love this Sprout!!! She is the sweetest and prettiest little girl I have ever seen. I colored her with my most favorite colors together, purple and green. These Greeting farm stamps are just some of the best stamps I have ever used. They stamp wonderfully. If you have never used them you really need to give them a try.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy your Sunday and please come back to see me. I'll talk to you soon.

Fly Away Home

Hello and happy Saturday. This is my submission for today's sketch challenge at the Crazy4Challenges blog C4C3. I used a set from The Greeting Farm called Fly Away. Aren't the balloons just the cutest flying that little piggy through the air?

I'm on a stamping retreat with some of my friends and we are having a blast. I have laughed so hard that my stomach is sore. Hope I make it until Sunday without rupturing something. LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend. Come back and see me soon.

Life is Sweet

Hello and happy Thursday. Today is the challenge over on the Treehouse Blog THT015. Our challenge today is called "Just Around the Corner". One of the best ways to do this would be with punches! I used a corner rounder on the bottom edges of my card. This is actually a first for me. I love it when a challenge makes me go outside of my normal box. I used this cute image from C.C. Designs that is sold by Treehouse Stamps. Head on over there and look at all the cute images they have.

Thanks for stopping by today. I will be heading out on a stamping retreat tomorrow for 2 days with my friends Mercy Kerin, Jessica Diedrich, and Jessie Rone. I just know we are going to have so much fun. I'll talk to you soon.

Superstar Anya

Hello and happy Wednesday. I'm a little late getting this post done today but here it is. I used my new Superstar Anya by The Greeting Farm for the first time on this card. Isn't she just drop dead gorgeous? I so love all of the images from The Greeting Farm because they are so much fun to color and decorate on your project. Of course the sentiment was made on my computer because when I looked at her I knew she thought she was pretty. Nothing like knowing you are beautiful, right? LOL

Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow with another project. I'll talk to you soon.

This week our sketch challenge is MTSC39. I used a new set that I got this past weekend with some of my birthday money and it's called Snow Place Like Home and it's by Our Craft Lounge. I just love anything that has penguins in it.

This is my submission for My Favorite Things sketch challenge MFTSC98. I used my Home Sweet Home set from The Greeting Farm. Look at those sweet puppies. Somebody else must have snuck in there and ripped that couch up. Those cute babies couldn't have done that. LOL
