Happy Happy Birthday

Hello and happy Thursday. I first saw this cute Penny Black stamp on Taylor VanBruggen's blog a few weeks ago and fell it love. It was on sale this week at one of my local stores half price. It's just a shame to pass up a bargain, isn't it? LOL. I used the sketch from Card Positioning Systems CPS131. I tried to use some bright colors so that I could use this for a kid's card. Bright colors, who would have guessed.

Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure and head over to the Treehouse blog. Today's challenge is to CASE one of my cards. Hope you can play.

Talk to you soon.

Hugs,

CPS119 - For the Love of Grace

Hello everyone!! I have a card for you today using the Card Positioning System's Sketch CPS119. I used Grace from the Hope and Grace stamp set by The Greeting Farm. This size card, 9-1/4" x 3-7/8", fits perfectly in a business size envelope. I probably put too much bling on the card for Grace (since she in her her over-alls) but I just couldn't help it. Cards without bling are hard for me to produce.

I hope you are having a wonderful week and that you are enjoying the beautiful summer we are having. It was a blistering hot and humid 91 degrees here today so some of the afternoon was spent in the pool with my son. I'm really enjoying being home with him this summer.

Thanks for coming by to check me out. Have a great week and come back tomorrow for another creation. I'll talk to you soon.

Stamps: Hope and Grace, Happy Chef (sentiment) - both by The Greeting Farm
Paper: Regal Rose, Baja Breeze, White, A Walk in the Park Designer
Ink: Black Brilliance
Accessories: Copic Markers, Clear Embossing Powder, Baja Breeze Grosgrain Ribbon, Designer Brads by SU, Kaiser Rhinestones, Large Oval Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, Paper Piercer and Mat Pack, Rectangle Nesties, Dimensionals

CPS115 - Froggy Flowers

Hello and happy Wednesday. I have another SU card for you today. It follows the Card Positioning Systems sketch from Monday CPS115. Another bright card, of course. I don't think I can do anything but bright.

I used the A Flower For All Seasons stamp set. I love frogs and this set is just too cute. I started out with a White card base and used Georgia Peach as my designer paper. The coordinating colors are Regal Rose, Old Olive and So Saffron. I stamped the main image with Black Brilliance ink, embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder and colored it with Copic Markers. It is cut out and mounted on Circle Nesties. The bling is a Prima Flower with a Designer Brad in the center and it is finished off with Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks for checking me out today. Hope you are having a wonderful week. Talk to you soon.

CPS111 & CC214 - Wedding Hanna

This card is a submission for two challenges this week, Card Positioning Systems Sketch - CPS111 and SplitCoast Stampers Color Challenge - CC214. I used a new stamp set I received this past Saturday from Hanna Stamps called Bridal. I think this Hanna that's getting married is absolutely adorable. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful stamp!!!

I started with a Bordering Blue card base and used Bella Birds as my designer paper. The coordinating colors are So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, and Chocolate Chip. Hanna was stamped with SU's Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, and colored with Copic Markers. Her wedding gown was highlighted with a Sakura Glaze Pen but I don't think the sparkle shows up very well in this picture. It's nice and glittery IRL as well as her earrings. The main image is mounted on Long Rectangle Nestabilities. I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink also, embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder and cut out with SU's Large Oval Punch. A designer brad has been put on the upper right corner of the sentiment panel. It is finished off with some White Organdy and Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks for coming by to check me out on this Wednesday. I hope to be working on SCS's Sketch Challenge later today so be sure to check back with me to see what I have come up with. Have a great week. Talk to you soon.
