Club Anya & Friends is Sponsoring SFYTT

Hello friends and happy Saturday. Sorry my post is late this morning. I painted my son’s room yesterday and had to unhook all his computer equipment, his computer has all our wireless connections for the house. Unfortunately I forgot to plug the phone line back in after setting everything back up in his room and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why my wireless connection for my laptop wasn’t working this morning. Finally found out I forgot to plug in the phone line so here I am now. Better late than never huh? LOL

Today CA&F is sponsoring the awesome Sketch For You to Try (SFYTT) over on Jen del Muro’s blog. I have been a long time fan of Jen’s sketches. There is a prize being offered on the CA&F blog and Jen’s blog (2 different prizes, woohoo) so make sure you check them both out. Here is my card using Friday Creeper. I paired her with some new Basic Grey paper from the Olivia pack. I flipped my card for the sketch.

Jen's SFYTT With a Cutsie Polar Bear

Hello and happy Sunday. Today is going to be a family day for me. We are going to play Phase10, go to a Corn Maze this evening, play football, and then watch Flash Forward from this past Thursday since we missed it that night. Is anyone else as addicted to this show as we are? I can't wait for it to come on each week. It is definitely keeping me on the edge of my seat.

I made a card for Jen's Sketch For You to Try from this weekend using two $1 Spot Stamps that are sold by Treehouse Stamps. This Polar Bear is just the cutest image!!! You really need to go check out their stamps cause this is a nice, big image for just a dollar. The sentiment, Merry & Bright, is also a $1 stamp and it's nice and big also. The stamps are made by Imaginisce and are called Snag 'em Stamps. Go to the Treehouse Stamps store and snag you some. Here is my card .......

I told you he was precious, didn't I? I think this little Polar Bear is just a cutie patootie. The patterned paper matches this stamp and I got it a local scrapbooking store. It's made by Imaginisce too.

Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure and come back tomorrow for our sketch from the Little Paper Shop. I'll talk to you soon.

Love This New Image

Hello and happy Sunday. My friend Mercy came over to stamp with me yesterday and look what she brought me. An RAK of this precious digi image from The Greeting Farm called Mistletoe Kiss. I could not wait to color this and put it on a card. Their new images by the artist Marina Neira are just so darn cute.  I'm going to have to have them all!!! LOL. I love Marina's style of drawing and know that she is going to be a fabulous addition to The Greeting Farm team.  Go check out her images here. Oh, and BTW, Mercy came up with the sentiment (computer generated) that I put on this card.  Stinkin' cute, huh? This card is also my submission for Jen's Sketch For You to Try from yesterday.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the Club Anya blog tomorrow for our 3rd Mystery Monday challenge. I'll talk to you soon.

Classy Swans

Hello again on this beautiful Thursday morning. This is my card for Jen's Sketch For You To Try from this past Saturday. My friend Mercy has all the Verve sets so during our stamping retreat this past weekend I used a few of her sets. This is one that was released this past week called Swan Song. I love these elegant swans. It may be hard to tell but they were stamped on some DP and cut out. They have not been colored. This was a super fast card but I love the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by again today. I'll talk to you soon.

The snowflake is from SU's holiday mini catty from last Christmas. The sentiment is from a set called Sentiments from The Greeting Farm.

Thanks for stopping by today. My good friend Mercy Kerin came over today so I made lots of things to show you. Check back tomorrow for another project. I'll talk to you soon.

Giving Thanks Sophia - SFYTT

This is my submission for Jen's Sketch For You To Try from this past Saturday. I used my new Giving Thanks Sophia from Paper Pretties. I'm a member of their Stamp of the Month Club and this is July's stamp. She reminds me of one of my pretty nieces. They are precious just like this Sophia.

I'm really enjoying this summer off with my son. He will be starting the 5th grade in August and this is the first summer I have had off with him. After having him I stayed home with him until he started Kindergarten then I went back to work. This past January my husband and I decided that Garrett needed me more at home so I gave it all up again. It's been one of the best decisions we have ever made. He is just so precious to me and I don't want to miss anything with him. He is my only child and the time I have with him until he goes to college is going to be so short.

Thanks for coming by to check me out today. I hope you are having a wonderful week. I'll talk to you soon.

Stamps: Giving Thanks Sophia by Paper Pretties
Paper: Pink Pirrouette, Kiwi Kiss, White, Basic Grey Gypsy Designer

Come back and see me tomorrow for another creation. I'll talk to you soon and thanks so much for coming by to visit.

I stamped all the flowers using the Masking Technique but the one in the center was stamped again on another piece of cardstock, colored and then cut out and popped with dimensionals on the main image panel. I hope you like it.

SFYTT - SU Card

I seem to be losing some subscribers and I have a feeling it is due to not using very many SU stamps in the last few months. Just to let you know I am going to try and use at least one, if not two, SU stamp sets a week. There are just so many stamps out there I like. I made two cards this evening with SU stamps but I am only posting one today along with another that I used Hanna Stamps on. I hope you like them both.

The SU card uses Jen's Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) for this past Saturday. The Hanna card was put together not following a sketch.

Thanks for taking the time to check me out today. See you tomorrow with another card. Talk to you soon.

SFYTT Meets Hanna

This is for Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try SFYTT for today. For my sketch card I pulled out my Hanna Stamps set called I Love My Garden.

I stamped Hanna with Black Brilliance Ink, embossed her with clear embossing powder and colored her with Copic Markers. I know she is supposed to be working in her garden but I couldn't help but make her pretty so I put some make-up on her. I also stamped the trellis from the stamp set and cut out one of the flowers to put on her hat. She grows such pretty flowers, LOL!! I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the bottom of the card and some Rectangle Nestabilities to mount Hanna on.

Thanks for coming by to check me out. Don't forget to stop by Jen's blog and play along with the sketch. Have a great weekend.

SFYTT - Refuge & Strength

This is for Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try - SFYTT for today. I have had this set called Refuge & Strength from SU for a few months and I thought it would be perfect for this sketch. This was another fun sketch to play with today.

I started with a Bravo Burgundy card base and then I matted a piece of designer paper from the Parisian Summer pack with a piece of Pink Pirouette for the background piece. I stamped the main image in Bravo Burgundy and did the cross in the background with Pink Pirouette stamped off once before applying to the main image. The main image and the background piece have both been pierced with SU's Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. I used three Build-a-Brads with designer paper punched also from the Parisian Summer designer paper pack. It's finished off with some Non SU Pink Grosgrain Ribbon.

I'm getting ready to go eat Valentine's dinner with my hubby. Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's day and that the rest of your weekend is great. My son is off from school for Winter Break and does not go back to school until Wednesday. This is the first time I have been able to stay home with him during the Spring because I had been working in public accounting since he started Kindergarten. I am now a SAHM and really enjoying the extra time that I am getting to spend with him this Winter/Spring.

Thanks for coming by to check me out.

SFYTT - My First Hanna

Isn't this just the prettiest girl you have ever seen taking a rest from working in her garden? This is Hanna and she is from the set I Love My Garden by Hanna Stamps. This is my first Hanna card and I really like how it turned out. Love that Tea Party designer paper from SU too.

I created this card for Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) from yesterday. The sunflower actually has a stalk on the pink cardstock behind it but I have mostly covered it up. I knew as soon as I finished the card that when people looked at it they would go "Did she mess up on that pink cardstock and try to cover it up?" Oh well, there is a nice pretty sunflower stalk hiding back there. LOL!! I have paper pieced her hat and her blouse with the Tea Party designer paper. The rest of Hanna is colored with Copics. She was cut out and popped on another stamped image of herself. The sentiment is all one stamp but has been cut apart and the I (heart) part was popped on top of a heart from SU's new 3-heart punch.

Hope this week finds you at a good place in your life. God has been good to me and I am very blessed at this time in my life. Thanks for visiting and please come back to see me.

SC189 & SFYTT

This first card is for my Dad's birthday which is today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! I used a previous sketch from SCS - SC189 to be able to fit this big image on my card the way I wanted it. This is the set from SU called Season of Friendship from the recently expired Holiday Mini Catalog. The sentiment was printed from my computer and them punched out. Please go to Beate's blog for a great tutorial on how I made the pieces the sentiment are on. She shows you how to make the SU 1-3/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches look so much better by not having as big of a border between them. That always bugged me anyway.

This next card is for Jen del Muro's SFYTT from last Saturday. I needed to get this one posted before she comes out with her new sketch tomorrow. I stamped the four smaller animals from the new SU set Animal Crackers and cut them out and mounted them on circle punches. The sentiment is from the retired hostess set from SU called So Many Sayings. They look like they could all be friends, don't they? See how they are all looking at each other.

Sorry my post has to be short today. It's almost time to go pick my son up from school. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
