I think I popped everything on this card that could be popped with dimensionals. There is a lot of dimension. The main image panel was sponged with Baja Breeze Ink.

Thanks for stopping by today. Stay tuned tomorrow for the sketch challenge from Lord Have Mercy. All of Mercy's Muses will have some outstanding cards to show you. I'll see you then.

5 Cards For You Today

Hello and Happy Sunday!!! I have 5 cards today that are for the Birthday Celebration challenges from this past week over on the Club Anya blog. I had so much fun with all these challenges. Some of them definitely got me out of my comfort zone. I will explain what the challenge is under each card and please feel free to email me if you have any questions about anything I have done.

This card is for the "Back to School" challenge. I have had this designer paper for a long time and have never used it. It was perfect for this card.

This card is for the "Crazy Hair Day" challenge. I used three different stamps to achieve the hair on this beautiful girl. I used one of the stamps from the Miss Dressy Anya set and the stamp has short hair. I took the pigtails from a different stamp from the same set to add her some length to her hair. I then took a third stamp, Megan, and used the bow from her hair to add to the pigtails. What do you think?

This card is for the "Javablu" challenge. You were to use blue and brown on your card. This is Megan and I think she is precious.

This card is for the "Smile and Shine" challenge. You were to add glitter, rhinestones, bling, etc. to your card. That is always an easy challenge for me as I feel "the more bling the better". LOL.

This card is for the "Time to Get Sketchy" challenge. You were to use one of your favorite sketches. This is from Taylor VanBruggen's sketch challenge from this past Friday, TESC78. Yes, Taylor, this is an awesome sketch and I loved it!!

Thanks for being patient and looking at all my creations today. I really enjoyed making them and I hope you enjoy looking at them. Have a wonderful week and I'll talk to you soon.

Hugs,

Christmas in August

Hello again. I got this super cute Christmas image called Peanut Tree from Victoria Case Stamps. It's a digi image that I just love. It was so much fun to color. Don't know if you can see in the pic but I have Diamond Stickles on the ground to look like snow and Liquid Pearls on the Christmas hat for some puffy dimension. I also sponged some clouds in the sky using the technique I found from one of Gina K.'s StampTV videos.

Thanks for looking again today. I hope you are getting ready to have an exciting weekend. I'll talk to you soon.

Hugs,

THT010 - Watercoloring and SFYTT

Hello and welcome to Treehouse's Thursday Challenge THT010. Our challenge today is Watercoloring. You need to watercolor your image with either your aqua painter or a watercolor brush. Easy huh? I decided to use Jen's SFYTT from this past Saturday for my card today. I stamped the Inkadinkado turtle image, Birthdays are Good For You, on watercolor paper. You can buy this stamp at Treehouse Stamps. I colored him with ink pads and an aqua painter, like my hero Mercy. If you ever sat down and watched her watercolor with ink pads and an aqua painter you would know what I mean. She's amazing.

Thanks for stopping by today and play along with our challenge if you can. You can load your card on The Treehouse Blog using Mr. Linky. When you upload to SCS and your blog make sure and use the keyword THT010. It's a fun challenge and it got me out of my comfort zone of using my Copic Markers all the time. I had forgotten how much fun watercoloring was.

I'll talk to you soon.

Hugs,

I need to write this post to apologize, especially to the oh so talented Shannon Tuebner from Pink Tulle With Feathers and Sequins, because I forgot to recognize her as being our Guest Designer for the month of August for being one of Mercy's Muses. Please go and visit Shannon's blog and see the awesome card she produced for the sketch this week, MTSC33. You can see her card also on Mercy's blog, Lord Have Mercy. So sorry Shannon, I'm still at the beach and I think too much salt water has gone to my head. LOL!!
