My Father's Day Card to Chuck

This is the card I gave Chuck for Father's Day. Isn't this little monkey just a sweetie pie peeking around the tree? The stamp is Changito the Monkey by Stampendous. I used some designer paper that I purchased this past week and it's from the Martha Stewart collection. I thought the background piece looked like jungle vines.

Thanks for checking me out today. Come back and see me tomorrow for another creation. I'll talk to you soon and thanks so much for coming by to visit.

Stamps: Changito the Monkey by Stampendous
Paper: Choc. Chip, White, Martha Stewart Designer
Ink: Black Brilliance, Momento Tuxedo Brown
Accessories: Copic Markers, Clear Embossing Powder, Wide Satin Choc. Chip Ribbon, Dimensionals

SC215 - Doodle Wings

This is for SCS Sketch Challenge SC215. It was hard to get a good picture this morning because it's overcast here in beautiful Georgia and I think when I photoshopped the card I got it too bright. Oh well, I'll get a better picture and change it when we get some sunshine.

This was such a fun sketch to play with. I love lots of layers. I started out with an Old Olive card base and matted it with So Saffron and Regal Rose. The Rose piece has been embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The dragonfly is an image from the Doodle Wings set by Stampendous that I got at Archiver's a couple of months ago. I stamped the image with Black Brilliance ink and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. It was then colored with Copic Markers and embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to add some sparkle (not sure if it shows in the picture but it's very sparkly). I then cut it out and matted it on top of another stamped image with dimensionals. The main image has been matted with Rectangle Nestabilities. It's finished off with Silver Brads and Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon.

It has felt almost like Spring here in Georgia this week. Temperatures in the 70's. It has been wonderful. I hate to see it turn cold again.

Thanks for coming by on this Wednesday to check me out. I hope the rest of your week is wonderful.
