Ian, I Think I Love You

Here is a card using Anya's sweet companion Ian from Pink Poison/The Greeting Farm. I stamped him with Brilliance Black ink and embossed him with clear embossing powder before coloring him with my Copic Markers. I used the Windsor Knot designer paper from SU. Cardbase is Sage Shadow and the layers are all matted with Chocolate Chip. I used the Rectangle Nestabilites on the main focal image. Everything is popped with dimensionals.

Hope you have a great week. Thanks for coming by to check me out.

MTSC24 - Cup of Flowers

This card is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC24. I used the Pink Poison set Cup of Stuff AGAIN. I'm just loving the stamp sets I have gotten from them. Look for more posts this week because I received 2 new stamps from them today. Woohoo!!!

This card used the Raspberry Tart designer paper. If you haven't seen this paper in person then you are in for a real treat when you see it. The pictures just do not do it justice. It's utterly breathtaking, as least for you bright colored cardstock lovers anyway, which is me, me, me. The cardbase is Cameo Coral and the scalloped layer under the main image panel is Real Red. I stamped the image with Brilliance Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The flower on the left has been popped up two layers and the flower on the right is popped up once. It's all been colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is stamped with Brilliance Black ink also and embossed with clear embossing powder. Antique Brass Build-a-Brads are added to the right side and have pieces of the Raspberry Tart paper punched out for them. The designer paper has been pierced with SU's Paper Piercer and Mat Pack. Real Red ribbon finishes it off.

Don't forget to check out Mercy's blog and play along with her sketch. She has the instructions there on how to play. Hope you can join us.

Thanks for coming by to check me out. Have a wonderful Holiday week.

Lots to Show Off

My first card is for this week's Sketch Challenge over at SCS, SC208. I used another sweet image from Pink Poison (The Greeting Farm starting Jan. 1st) called Cup of Stuff. Wow, I just love their stamps. I'm so glad I found them. The designer paper is from the Ski Slope designer paper pack from SU. Cardbase is Real Red as is the ribbon. Image is colored with CopicMarkers and the bling is Kaiser Rhinestones.

Card number two is for this past Monday's Mojo Sketch Challenge #66. Yes, another Pink Poison image from the set called Caketopper. This is the stamp that got it all started for me. I saw this card on Nancy Morgan's blog and knew I had to have the stamp. It's just total sweetness!!! The cardbase is Basic Black, the pink designer paper is from Sweet Always from SU, and the gray designer paper is from Ghostly Greetings from SU. Sweet little Anya has Diamond Stickles on her dress. Love, love, love these stamps.

This last card is a beauty I received from my sweet and dear friend Mercy Kerin. I fell in love with this card when I saw it on her blog and she was sweet enough to give it to me. Thanks Mercy, love you girlfriend!! Check out other beauties by Mercy here on her blog.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and your New Year's is just as great. Thanks for coming by to check me out.

Angelic Anya

This card is for Jen del Muro's Sketch For You to Try from this past Saturday, December 20th. I used another one of my new stamps I got from Pink Poison last week. (Pink Poison will officially change their name to The Greeting Farm next week on January 1st.) The little angel on the card is called Anya. She is so precious, isn't she?

I used the SU Sweet Always Designer paper along with Chocolate Chip. I stamped Anya with Rich Cocoa Momento Ink and embossed her with clear embossing powder. She was then colored with Copic Markers. Her wings and halo have Diamond Stickles on them. I cut her out and popped her up with dimensionals. The three Prima flowers have designer brads in the center.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. I'm starting to feel a little better so hopefully it will be a fun filled next two days. Christmas is so much more awesome when you have a little one at home, isn't it? Garrett is so excited and can't wait for the next two days. To all my readers out there, I'm sending you tons of Holiday wishes your way.

MTSC23 - Loving These Precious Mice!!

Hello everyone. I am feeling very poorly this weekend so I set this post up Saturday evening so it would automatically post Monday night. I knew I probably would not feel like doing it later.

This is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC23 for this week. LOVING THOSE LAYERS MERCY!! I got this stamp set last week from the company Pink Poison and it's called Cup of Stuff. Don't you just love the cute mouse's butts??? I got 3 sets from Pink Poison so look for some cute cards coming up soon.

I used the SU Ski Slope paper as my designer paper on this card. The sentiment is from the SU retired set Fancy Flexible Phrases. The mice were stamped with black Brilliance Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder then colored with Copic Markers. Love those markers!!

If I don't post again before Christmas I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. Thanks for coming by to check me out.

Posting Preview Stamp Sets

I have been getting several comments today regarding posting preview stamp sets from the new Catalog that starts in January. I have deleted these comments. Just so the people that left the comments will know, and for any demonstrators out there that are not aware, I called Demonstrator Support this morning and they verified that it is perfectly fine to post new preview sets anywhere you would like (personal blogs, SCS, SU demo website, etc). This is a change that went into effect during the last few months and DS said that the demonstrator manual may not reflect this new change. If you have any comments of this nature please be courteous in the future and email me and please do not post a comment on my blog to this effect. I take being a demonstrator very seriously and I would not do anything (to my knowledge anyway) that I was not supposed to do as a demonstrator.

Thanks to my faithful followers that always read my blog and for posting your ever faithful comments. Have a great week!!

Pam

EDITED TO ADD: DS has been called a second time after numerous people told me that the last update to our demonstrator manual was last month in November 2008 and that surely I talked to a DS staff person that was mis-informed. DS assured me (again) they would be sending out a message on the SU demonstrator website telling all demos they have changed their policy again. We CAN post preview items early. GO HAVE FUN LADIES!!

MTSC22 - Just Buzzin

This card is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge (MTSC22). I thought I would get out my new set Just Buzzin' By and ink it up. I love this set. I'll be doing a Great Swaps Girls (GSG) swap with it this month. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

This is another awesome sketch by Mercy. I couldn't wait to play with the sketch when she sent it to me. I used the Haiku designer paper. I stamped the hive with Brilliance Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder before I colored it. Thanks for getting me addicted to embossing all my images before I color them Mercy!! It makes the image really pop. The colors in the Haiku paper go so good with what colors you think should go with bees. I colored the bees and the hive with Copic markers. The sentiment is also stamped with Brilliance Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Can you believe it's only 1-1/2 weeks until Christmas? I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for coming by to check me out.

SC206 - Raspberry Stems

This card is for today's Sketch Challenge SC206 from SplitCoastStampers. I could not wait to tear in to this new paper that we, as demonstrators, could pre-order from the new Spring 2009 catalog. Isn't the background piece I showcased on the back of this card scrumptious? The paper is called Raspberry Tart and it will be available January 19th when the new catalog begins. The coordinating colors for this paper are Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Cameo Coral and Kiwi Kiss. Sounds like an odd combination but it's oh so pretty IRL. The stamp set is also a new set that will be available in that same catalog called Sweet Stems. The other colors on this card are Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink and White. I used coordinating Copic Markers to color the images. The sentiment is from a retired set called So Many Sayings.

I hope the rest of your week is wonderful and thanks for coming by to check me out.

MTSC21 - First Paper Pretties Card

OK, the lighting is terrible on this picture. I usually take my pictures during the daytime with natural outside light but I had to improvise tonight. I needed to get this picture to Mercy for her Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC21 tonight. I will take a better picture tomorrow and change the one on this post.
(Edited: picture has been updated. This copy is a little better than my first try).

I think Mercy is making all her sketches just for me. LOL!! She likes bunches of layers about as much as I do. Isn't this new image I got today from Paper Pretties just the bomb? I have had my eye on these images for a while. Everyone that knows me knows the saying on this card was made just for me. I REALLY don't do mornings very well. I have a hard time just talking until I have been up a couple of hours and had a nice big cup of coffee.

The designer paper on this card is from the Bella Rose designer pack from SU. The card base is Riding Hood Red and all the layers are matted with Chocolate Chip. The scallop piece under the pink panel was done with the Scallop Edge Punch from SU.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and thanks for coming by to check me out.

MTSC20 - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge

This card is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC20. I used the colors in the designer paper Sweet Always. Don't you just love those bright colors? The pillow and shoe have been paper pieced by stamping the image on designer paper, cutting it out and popping it with dimensionals. I like that effect on this card much better than coloring it. Other than that the card is pretty straight forward. The colors I used are Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, White and Sweet Always Designer. The rhinestones are from Kaiser.

Cute sketch, huh? How about playing along, and when uploading your card please use the code MTSC20.

Thanks for coming by to check me out. Have a great week.

Inspired by my precious MIL

I was trying to show my mother-in-law how to stamp on some calendar pages with this stamp set. We wanted the stamping to be light so that it wouldn't cover up the dates on the calendar pages. I inked up the stamp with SU markers in Real Red, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. I told her we needed to stamp off a couple of times before we put it on the calendar so the first time I did it I stamped off on some scrap paper before I stamped on the calendar. The image on the scrap paper was sooooo pretty so the next few times I stamped off on some white cardstock so that I could use the images for something else. Doesn't it look great on this card? The only down side of doing this technique for a calendar is this image is quite large and it takes a long time to color the stamp with markers 12 times. One calendar would be enough of that for me so I'm not sure I could do that for bunches of calendar gifts. It does look very nice on the calendar though, doesn't it Barb?

I hope your Thanksgiving was marvelous. I know mine was. The good Lord has blessed me tremendously. Thanks for stopping by to check me out.

SC204 - Christmas Bella

I was in the mood to make a cute girly Christmas card so I pulled out my Christmas Bella stamp from stamping bella. Isn't she cute? I stamped her with Brilliance Black Ink and embossed her with clear embossing powder to make her pop and then colored her with Copics. I used this week's Sketch Challenge SC204 from Splitcoaststampers for the layout. I love the color combination for Christmas that I used on this card too. I used Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, Baja Breeze and White. The Old Olive and Baja Breeze are from the designer pack Ski Slope from SU. Love it!!! I used my paper piercer and mat pack for the piercing on the white panel background piece. I layered two panels using the Scallop Border punch underneath the Olive panel and topped it off with some Riding Hood Red ribbon.

I'm going to spend the day watching SEC football games all day. GO BAMA!!! Hope your weekend is great and thanks for coming to check me out.

MOJO52 - Friend Cupcakes

This card is for Verve's Mojo Monday Sketch MOJO52. These colors were picked by my precious friend Mercy Kerin during a stamping retreat we went on about 3 weeks ago. I was a little worried that these colors would not look good together but was I ever wrong. They went very well with the fun theme of this birthday card.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and thanks for coming by to check me out.

MTSC19 - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge

Ladies, don't you just love this sketch? This is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC19. I have so much fun with Mercy's sketches. I like lots of layers on my cards and so does she. How about giving her challenge a try and see what you can come up with?

I can't seem to get away from this little snowman stamp from the set Toasty Snowman from Darcie's. I think he is adorable and so much fun to color. The sketch is for a normal size card (4-1/4 x 5-1/2) but I made it into a 5x5 square card to better fit my image. The designer paper is from SU and called Ski Slope. It's my favorite Christmas paper this year. I love the colors they put in it. I colored the main image with Copics. I don't have all the Copic markers to match the SU cardstock and ink but I can usually take 2 or 3 and mix them to come up with a color that is very close. That's one good thing about Copics, the more you color an image the prettier it gets. No smeared ink no matter how many layers you color one image.

Thanks for coming by to check me out and have a great Thanksgiving week.

SC193 - Bright Cupcakes

This card is for SCS Sketch Challenge SC193. I used the SU Georgia Peach designer paper to make this bright card. The main image is colored with SU markers and the cupcake icing has Diamond Stickles to give it some sparkle. I honestly can't believe I got all 3 bows to tie and look almost just alike. That will probably never happen again.

Thanks for coming by to check me out and have a great Thanksgiving week.

Happy Penguin

Here's another card using the set Just Chillin from Darcie's. I love the penguins and snowmen sets that they make. So much fun to color. And don't you just love that designer paper from SU called Holiday Treasures.

Thanks for coming by to check me out. Have a great weekend.

SC195 - Baja Verve Flowers

This card is for SCS Sketch Challenge 195 from a couple of months ago. I used the Petals and Stems stamp set for the focal image from Verve Stamps and the sentiment is from the hostess set Best Yet from SU. I used the designer paper Urban Garden along with Baja Breeze, Old Olive, and Certainly Celery. Pretty combination. Top it off with some Baja Breeze ribbon and faux silver brads and you're done.

It's Wednesday and the work week is over half way over. Woohoo!! Thanks for looking and have a great week!!

MOJO11 - Precious Snowman

This card is for Verve Visuals Mojo Monday Sketch MOJO11 from November of last year. Verve has some awesome sketches so I have printed out the pdf on Julee Tilman's blog and am trying to do all of them. The Stamp/Scrap Art Tour was in Chattanooga, TN in October and one of the vendors was Darcie's. I got 4 stamp sets from them and used this Snowman Set for the first time this past weekend. I fell in love with him. Isn't he cute? He was so much fun to color. He was stamped and embossed with black embossing powder. I colored him with my Copic markers and then cut him out. He was popped with dimensionals on top of another image of him stamped on the focal panel. That gives him a 3D look.

Thanks for coming by to check me out today. Have a great week!!

MTSC18 - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge

Don't you just love this sketch? I made this card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC18. As Mercy and I were doing this card together she wanted to use this color combo. I was like "Yuck" but as usual once you put them together you like the end result. The colors are Real Red, Night of Navy and Gable Green. Head on over to Mercy's blog and play along. She has wonderful sketches every Tuesday.

This card also covers the Limited Supply Challenge LSC194 - All Acrylic Stamps over at SCS. This birthday bird from the set Birthday Surprise from Verve Stamps is so precious. I put Red Stickles on his party hat and his wing. The navy flowers on the green panel were stamped with white craft ink and embossed with white embossing and cut out and adhered to the green panel. The sentiment is also from Verve and is from the set Beautiful You.

Thanks for looking and come back this week to visit again.

WSC66 - Beautiful Flowers

I made this card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge WSC66 and SCS Color Challenge CC181. This is a lovely color combo; Rose Red, Basic Black and Kraft. The card is pretty straightforward. I did emboss the sentiment to make it stand out on the designer paper.

This is one of the many creations I made this weekend while at a stamping retreat with four of my best friends, Janet Beahm, Mercy Kerin, Donna White-Dropkin and Ashley Ward. We had sooooooo much fun. I laughed until I couldn't laugh any more. Girls FOUR. LOL!

Thanks for stopping by to see me today and I hope you have a wonderful week!!

MTSC17 - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch

I made this card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC17. Please check out Mercy's blog and play along with the challenge. It's a wonderful sketch to play with. I love lots of layers and this one had plenty. Pink and orange together have been a favorite of mine this past week. They look even better mixed with chocolate, don't they?

It's late and I have to go to work in a few hours. Thanks for coming by to take a look and have a great week!!!

WSC64 - Unusual Christmas Card

How do you like this Christmas card? I made it for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge WSC64 from 2 weekends ago. Beautiful sketch!!! I got the idea from this card my special friend Mercy Kerin did here. She is the "Queen of Embossing" and she has gotten me addicted now. I used Baroque Motifs for the black embossing on the red panel. The white scallops were made with one of the large rectangle nestabilities. Yes, it's full of piercing again. Love it!!!

BTW, I am going on a stamping retreat this Friday morning until Sunday afternoon with 5 of my great friends, Janet, Mercy, Donna, Beth and Ashley. Girls, 4 more days. Woohoo!!!

Hope you have a great week. Thanks for looking!!

MOJO58 CC191 - Pretty Colored Verve

Wouldn't these colors make great cards for Christmas? I will definitely have to use this color combo for some of my Christmas cards. This is for Verve Visuals Monday Sketch Challenge MOJO58 from two Monday's ago and for this week's Color Challenge CC191 on SCS. Have you noticed I have been in to the piercing the last few cards I have made? Yeah, I'll get off of it soon but it sure does look good on the card, doesn't it?

This is a pretty simple card so I won't go in to any specific details with it. The colors are Kiwi Kiss, Red Riding Hood Red, and Pretty in Pink.

Thanks for looking and have a great week!!

WSC65 CC191 - The Twig Miester

This is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge WSC65 and for SCS Color Challenge CC191. I hope you can see the glittery snow at the bottom of the scene I made using Diamond Stickles. I didn't want to pull my Coluzzle out to make the circle in the top left corner so I used my coffee cup. Worked rather nicely. The Twigster scene is colored with Copics.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

CC190 SC201 - Love This Color Combo

I just adore this color combo I used from last week's Color Challenge, CC190 from SCS. These are my kind of colors. I combined it with this week's Sketch Challenge, SC201. This is my first card with this set after getting it on sale in October. I love the tiered cupcakes. I applied Diamond Stickles to the icing on each cupcake to give it some sparkle. It's very eye catching IRL. Everything is colored with Copics. The Kiwi paper is from the Bella Rose designer paper pack and the Tangerine paper is from the Tangerine Tango prints pack. I did use Pretty in Pink instead of Pixie Pink though. I like this pink better. The edges of the Kiwi paper are pierced with my paper piercer and SU's mat pack. The pink ribbon is non SU 5/8" grosgrain. Love, love, love this size ribbon. Have I said love too many times in this paragraph? Love you, all my readers :)

I have been very slack in posting the past couple of months. First, I went back to work full time almost a year ago (seems like forever now) so that cut down drastically on my stamping time. 4th grade with my son has also been a killer this year. And to top that off my stamping room had gotten so out of control messy that I couldn't find anything. Last Sunday I took the whole day, 16 hours to be exact, and got my room in tip top shape now. Wow, is all I can say. I have made three cards this week and one calendar made with my Bind-it-All that I have to post now. I'll start out with one at a time so that I will have something to post for a few days. Maybe I'll have time to work on something else Sunday too. Thanks for looking!!

Hope the rest of your weekend is great.

Halloween Monkey

I love Mr. Sock Monkey even though so many of you out there hate him. I decided to make this a feminine Mrs. Sock Monkey for Halloween, if that's possible. I really like the colors on it though. Not traditional Halloween colors at all. Hope you enjoy looking at her.

Have a great week!!

Butterflies in the Fall

Here is a very plain, simple card using the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. I really like the pretty fall colors of the Haiku designer paper so I made some fall butterflies.

It's late and I have to work in the morning. Hope the rest of your week is wonderful. Thanks for looking!!

Glossy Fresh Cuts

I got home late Sunday afternoon from a 4 day camping trip with my boys. What a great time we had!!

I made this card during a stamping retreat about 3 weeks ago with 3 of my wonderful friends, Mercy Kerin of Lord Have Mercy, Janet, and Donna. We had so much fun during those 3 days.

The main focal image is glossy paper stamped in black ink and embossed with black embossing powder. I then took 3 sponge daubers and wiped the ink from the inkpad across the paper. The is one of the easiest and prettiest techniques there is. If you are going to try this technique it looks much better if you emboss the stamped image with black instead of just stamping it only (thanks Mercy!!). The sentiment image is stamped twice in black, once on Riding Hood Red paper and once on Kiwi Kiss paper. I then cut the center of the Kiwi piece out and popped it with dimensionals on top of the Red piece. Then I added one of the new designer brads to the top left corner for "cuteness". It's cute, isn't it???
Have a great week and thanks for checking me out!!

Holiday Treasure Beauty

I created this card with the new Holiday Treasures designer paper from the new catalog. I think you can use three fourths of the paper for other occasions besides Christmas. I created this card for someone very special in my life. She will get it very soon.

I used my Pretties Kit for the first time and I have had it for about a year. I put a hat pin in the center of the flowers. There are 4 flowers colored to different degrees with a sponge dauber and Red Riding Hood ink. Didn't they turn out pretty? The focal image is a square scalloped piece of chipboard. I glued designer paper on and then sanded the edges with one of SU's sanding blocks. I just love this card. Hope you like it.

Thanks for looking and have a great week.

WSC58 - Mr. Twigster

This card is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I didn't think it was ever going to come together. I love the sketch but I just couldn't make up my mind what to put with Mr. Twigster. He is from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog and then I finally remembered that I got the Petite Snowflakes too. Doesn't it look cute with a build-a-brad in the center? The designer paper is called Ski Slope which is also from the Holiday Mini. Customers can start ordering from the Catalog on October 1st.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great week.

WSC56 - Yes, I'm Late

I actually did this card during the weekend that Beate posted her weekend sketch but never got around to posting it. Oh well, better late than never.

I'm not sure if you can tell in the picture but each layer of the main focal image is popped with dimensionals. I love popping those layers. This stamp set, A Flower for all Seasons, is one of my favorites right now. I used a square scallop Nestie to cut out the focal piece on white and then used 2 more plain square Nesties to do the 2 layers behind. The chocolate mat layer that is behind the green designer paper has been punched with the ticket corner punch but the green designer paper has not. I like the way this looks together, almost like a scallop corner punch. The designer paper is from the new paper Hawaii Papaya. I used the Level 1 hostess set, Best Yet, for the sentiment. Added some Kiwi Kiss ribbon and I' done.

I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a great weekend.

Soft Colors Oh My

I really like the way this card turned out. I have never liked Kraft cardstock until recently. It always reminded me of cardboard. Well all I can say is that flowery cardboard on the bottom of this card looks scrumptious, doesn't it? If you know me you know that I don't do soft colors so this card went against everything that is my norm. But sometimes things that we don't normally do can be a good thing.

I borrowed my friend's long rectangle Nesties for the mat on the focal image (thanks Donna). Everything is pretty much straight forward. Pretty plain and simple but I really like it. Thanks for looking and have a great week!!

Dreams of Blue Bellas

I made this card when I first got the new Dreams du Juor stamp set around the middle of July. I love the way the pink, blue and red look together on this card, don't you? The card is pretty self explanatory. You probably can't tell by the picture but I used the Paisley background stamp on the small piece that the ribbon goes around. I'm also loving the new In Color ribbon and am so glad they made it wider than last year's ribbons.

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend.

Sock Monkey, You're So Cute!!!

Hello. Here is a card I did over a month ago when I first got this Sock Monkey set. I really like this set even though I know there are a lot of people out there that hate it.

The two pictures after the Sock Monkey card are from my Alaskan vacation. What a beautiful place Alaska is. If you haven't been there it is something you must try to see.

Have a great week and thanks for looking!!!

Pam

Anyone Out There???

I just wanted to let everyone out there know that I am still alive. If you read the post before this one you know that I have had a few things going on in my life lately. I went on the Alaskan cruise during the middle of August and on the morning after I returned, I received a call that my dad was being taken to the ER. He had a stroke. He is doing very well and actually went back to work the next week. The Lord has been very good to him and has blessed him (and me) by giving him more time with his family here on this Earth. Thank you Lord!!

Me and my husband purchased a travel trailer about 8 weeks ago so every available weekend lately has been spent in the woods. It has really cut done on my stamping time but I wouldn't trade the time I have spent with my husband and son for anything in the world. We are having a great time.

I have stamped a few things during the last 4-6 weeks but haven't taken time to post anything. For that I am sorry. I have had several people "unsubscribe" from my blog for not having current updates and for that I am sorry. Sometimes our free time gets taken up by things that are far more important than stamping. THANK YOU to the people that have continually checked my blog for current updates and to the people that have checked on me by email. Your kindness means a lot.

I will try to post some cards this week. Take care and have a great week.

Hello!!!

Hello Everyone. I've been MIA for a couple of weeks and I've missed talking to you. My grandmother passed away a couple of weeks ago and this week I have been getting ready to go on a cruise to Alaska. We are leaving August 3rd for a week and we are so excited!!! My son, Garrett, is the most excited. I can't wait to experience the beautiful Alaskan paradise with him.

This first card was very quick and simple. Don't you just love those Jersey Shore colors? I'm going to miss that paper.

The second card is one of my Club cards from my June parties. We stamped on vellum with white craft ink and colored the bird in with SU Write markers. We then flipped the image over for a softer effect and adhered it to the pink cardstock with brads.

I hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Love These Verve Stamps

I borrowed these stamps from my friend Mercy from Lord Have Mercy. We stamped together again this weekend and yes, we had a blast. Thanks Janet for having us over.

This is the first time I have used any Verve Stamps. These are great stamps. I've been wanting to use this color combo but I was out of the Afternoon Tea Designer Paper from the Occasions Mini. I ordered one more pack before the Mini catalog ended in June. Doesn't this Sage and Chocolate look good together, especially with these stamps. The flowers are raised on dimensionals and the centers have Crystal Effects on them. Very shiny in real life. This was a very simple card but I love it. Thanks for looking.

Kind Thoughts

I made this card using a friend's Kind Thoughts stamp set. I'm not sure why I never got this set because I really like it. I like the end product of this card but coloring in the main image was a killer. I stamped the image with Brown Stazon and embossed it with clear embossing powder. It makes it easier to stay in the lines when coloring a fine image like this one if it's embossed because it slightly raises the edges.

Have a great week and thanks for looking.

MTSC12 - Sneak Peek #3

Here is a sneak peek at one of the upcoming hostess sets, Fall Flair. I'm using 2 new In Colors I haven't previously showed you either, Pacific Blue and Tangerine Tango. Bright colors, that's what I'm talking about. I'm showing you all theses new things using Mercy Kerin's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC12. Take a peek a her blog. She does a sketch challenge every Tuesday. Come out and play.

I stamped the outline flower image several times on a piece of white cardstock and colored it with the new ink pads and my aqua painter. I cut out a flower and popped it above another one after embossing it with clear embossing powder. It's very shiny IRL. I took another one of the outline flower images and stamped it with VersaMark on the blue piece to give it some definition. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.
