Hello!!!

Hello Everyone. I've been MIA for a couple of weeks and I've missed talking to you. My grandmother passed away a couple of weeks ago and this week I have been getting ready to go on a cruise to Alaska. We are leaving August 3rd for a week and we are so excited!!! My son, Garrett, is the most excited. I can't wait to experience the beautiful Alaskan paradise with him.

This first card was very quick and simple. Don't you just love those Jersey Shore colors? I'm going to miss that paper.

The second card is one of my Club cards from my June parties. We stamped on vellum with white craft ink and colored the bird in with SU Write markers. We then flipped the image over for a softer effect and adhered it to the pink cardstock with brads.

I hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Love These Verve Stamps

I borrowed these stamps from my friend Mercy from Lord Have Mercy. We stamped together again this weekend and yes, we had a blast. Thanks Janet for having us over.

This is the first time I have used any Verve Stamps. These are great stamps. I've been wanting to use this color combo but I was out of the Afternoon Tea Designer Paper from the Occasions Mini. I ordered one more pack before the Mini catalog ended in June. Doesn't this Sage and Chocolate look good together, especially with these stamps. The flowers are raised on dimensionals and the centers have Crystal Effects on them. Very shiny in real life. This was a very simple card but I love it. Thanks for looking.

Kind Thoughts

I made this card using a friend's Kind Thoughts stamp set. I'm not sure why I never got this set because I really like it. I like the end product of this card but coloring in the main image was a killer. I stamped the image with Brown Stazon and embossed it with clear embossing powder. It makes it easier to stay in the lines when coloring a fine image like this one if it's embossed because it slightly raises the edges.

Have a great week and thanks for looking.

MTSC12 - Sneak Peek #3

Here is a sneak peek at one of the upcoming hostess sets, Fall Flair. I'm using 2 new In Colors I haven't previously showed you either, Pacific Blue and Tangerine Tango. Bright colors, that's what I'm talking about. I'm showing you all theses new things using Mercy Kerin's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC12. Take a peek a her blog. She does a sketch challenge every Tuesday. Come out and play.

I stamped the outline flower image several times on a piece of white cardstock and colored it with the new ink pads and my aqua painter. I cut out a flower and popped it above another one after embossing it with clear embossing powder. It's very shiny IRL. I took another one of the outline flower images and stamped it with VersaMark on the blue piece to give it some definition. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Bella Rose Monkey

Here is another card using my new Toys. I used 4 different patterns from the new Bella Rose designer paper on it. Yes, I love that paper. I paper pieced the monkey with a piece of the Pink Pirouette designer paper from the pack. I paper pieced the balloons with another piece. I made the 2 scallop pieces with the new scallop border punch, love it. There are 2 background pieces on the card. The Riding Hood Red pieced has the corners punched with the ticket corner punch but the Kiwi Kiss designer piece on top of it is not punched on the corners. Doesn't it look cute that way? I drew the strings for the balloons.

This card is dedicated to my great friend Janet. She told me there was no way she was going to like this Sock Monkey set. She said she hated it. Well, Janet, what do you think now?

Hope the rest of your Holiday weekend is great. Thanks for looking!!

Woohoo!! My New Toys Came Yesterday

I am so loving these new In Colors. They are absolutely DROP DEAD GORGEOUS in person. I used 3 of them on this card. Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, and Riding Hood Red. The new designer Paper, Bella Rose, matches these colors perfectly. Isn't that designer paper just scrumptious? I used this week's sketch challenge again, SC183, from SCS to make this card. It's a wonderful sketch that I will continue to use in the future.

I will show you more creations with some of my other new items this weekend so check back soon.

Happy 4th of July!!! Thanks for looking.

SC183 Goodbye Time Well Spent

Here is my submission for this week's sketch challenge on SCS, SC183. I'm really going to miss this set. It was a gift for demonstrators last Christmas. Stampin' Up! is really good to us. I got really tired doing all the paper piercing but I think it was well worth my time. It added a lot to the card. I stamped the 2 flowers, colored them with Copics, cut them out and popped them with dimensionals. I stamped the flowers again, colored just the centers and cut the centers out and popped them up just in the middle.

Now on to talking about the Fall/Winter Preview sneak peek. I loved almost everything in the brochure so I ordered almost all they had to offer. It will be delivered to my house tomorrow, Thursday, so look for posts from me this weekend using my new goodies.

Thanks for looking and have a great Holiday this weekend!!
