Treehouse "Stationary Set" Challenge

Hello and happy Thursday. It's time for our challenge from the Treehouse Blog THT022. Our challenge today is to make a Stationary Set as a gift. Well, I have never made a stationary set so I was a little scared when I read this challenge. It turns out that I didn't need to be scared and that it was actually a lot of fun to make. I used the stamp set Simple Wishes from Treehouse Stamps. The sentiment panel is computer generated and those are my initials. Yes, I made me some stationary. LOL!! Thought I better test out this new project on myself before I made one to send to someone. Now, I am confident that this is a gift that I would be proud to give a friend. Treehouse Thursday

Hello and happy Thursday and welcome to our Treehouse Thursday Challenge THT021. Our challenge today is a "Fall Color Challenge" and you are to use Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Soft Suede; or similar colors if you don't have these. I started with the set Simple Wishes from Treehouse Stamps and paired it with some paper by K&Co. The main focal panel was stamped and then sponged with Certainly Celery and Soft Suede. Here is my card .....

So, what do you think of my card? It's a little more "shabby" then I normally make but I'm kinda liking it. It's good to get out of our comfort zone sometimes, isn't it? Treehouse Challenge - CASEing Neva

Treehouse Challenge THT017

Hello and welcome to another Treehouse Thursday Challenge THT017. Our challenge this week is "Alter It". I took a DVD tin and added some designer paper and used one of the new stamp sets, Autumn Blessings, that is being released today along with 3 other sets from Treehouse Stamps. I am so ready for fall here in Northwest GA.  It has just this week dropped from the high 80's to the 70's.  Starting to feel like Fall is finally coming. I made a couple of 3x3 cards to go in the DVD tin. Cute, huh? Come on out and play along with our challenge this week. It's a fun one. Altering things gets me out of my mode of creating cards only. Happy Birthday to You

Hello and happy Thursday. It's time for The Treehouse Blog's Thursday Challenge THT016. Our challenge this week is the "Masking Technique". I stamped my cupcakes using this technique. It makes them look like they are stacked one on top of another. I really like the masking technique as it gives your project more dimension.

Life is Sweet

Hello and happy Thursday. Today is the challenge over on the Treehouse Blog THT015. Our challenge today is called "Just Around the Corner". One of the best ways to do this would be with punches! I used a corner rounder on the bottom edges of my card. This is actually a first for me. I love it when a challenge makes me go outside of my normal box. I used this cute image from C.C. Designs that is sold by Treehouse Stamps. Head on over there and look at all the cute images they have.

I'm loving this new DP from SU called Autumn Traditions. I used the Happy Fall Ya'll set made by Treehouse Stamps and I used yesterday's sketch from SCS - SC245 again, great sketch.

Hello and happy Thursday. I first saw this cute Penny Black stamp on Taylor VanBruggen's blog a few weeks ago and fell it love. It was on sale this week at one of my local stores half price. It's just a shame to pass up a bargain, isn't it? LOL. I used the sketch from Card Positioning Systems CPS131. I tried to use some bright colors so that I could use this for a kid's card. Bright colors, who would have guessed.

THT011 - Suprise Pop-up Card

THT010 - Watercoloring and SFYTT

Hello and welcome to Treehouse's Thursday Challenge THT010. Our challenge today is Watercoloring. You need to watercolor your image with either your aqua painter or a watercolor brush. Easy huh? I decided to use Jen's SFYTT from this past Saturday for my card today. I stamped the Inkadinkado turtle image, Birthdays are Good For You, on watercolor paper. You can buy this stamp at Treehouse Stamps. I colored him with ink pads and an aqua painter, like my hero Mercy. If you ever sat down and watched her watercolor with ink pads and an aqua painter you would know what I mean. She's amazing.

Hello and happy Thursday. This is my card for today's challenge over on The Treehouse blog. Our challenge today is a PB&J card: A Pink Card with buttons & one other embellishment. I made my card very bright with lots of pink. Not sure you can tell in this pic but I colored the sky and made clouds on my main image panel. I used the set Sweet Treats by C.C. Designs that you can purchase at Treehouse Stamps. Isn't this monkey just the cutest?

Treehouse Thursday Challenge #007 & Blog Candy!

Hello everyone. I am late posting this due to all the drama that has went on in my life the past few days (see prior post). This is for the challenge on the Treehouse Blog from this past Thursday to make a 3x3 note card box. You can find the instructions here to make this project. I used the sentiment from the set Birthday Cupcake by Treehouse Stamps. The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch and they each have a Kaiser Rhinestone on their back. Sneak Peek - Treehouse Thursday Challenge

In Color Joy - THT004 and AMYRS4

Hello and Happy Thursday. Sorry I haven't posted this week but when we got back from our week long camping trip this past Sunday I brought home a kidney infection with me. That's the first time I have found one of those things in the woods so if you are ever out there in "the wild" watch out. I'm thinking those things grow on trees and when you walk by they just jump on you without you even knowing it. LOL!!!

Anywho, here is my card for this week's Treehouse Thursday Challenge, THT004, hosted by Treehouse Stamps. I used Amy R's sketch, AMYRS4, from this past Friday for my card. I used the newly released set Dino-rific from Treehouse Stamps. Our challenge this week is to use some form of embossing on your card. It can be from a Cuttlebug, Big Shot, Brass Stencils, Faux Embossing, etc. Please play along with us and make sure you use the keywords THT004 when you upload your card.

Do you notice the new bright colors I used on my card? These are three of SU's new In-Colors called Soft Suede, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay (hope I got those names right LOL). My precious friend Mercy let me borrow some of hers until mine comes in. I am in love with these new bright and bold colors. Also, here is a pic of Amy's sketch. It's a good one.
