CC172 SC182 Turtle Birthday

This is a double challenge card for me. I'm not used to doing that but I loved both challenges this week so I combined them.

The card base is 5" X 5". I took a 4-1/4" X 4-1/4" piece of Teal cardstock and stamped it in Whisper White craft ink then applied Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder (it really sparkles IRL). I then cut it up into equal squares to make my small squares. I tried White Embossing Powder first but no matter how much I heat set it, the powder keep wiping off. Then I tried Clear Embossing Powder and it was not bold enough for my taste. I finally tried the Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and was very happy with the results.

This was a really fun card to make. Thanks for looking!!

Oh wow! that's beautiful! At first look I thought the teal squares were design paper, but your way sounds much prettier! Now I am inspired to try that!

The turtle is super cute too...

Cheers,
