Posting Preview Stamp Sets

I have been getting several comments today regarding posting preview stamp sets from the new Catalog that starts in January. I have deleted these comments. Just so the people that left the comments will know, and for any demonstrators out there that are not aware, I called Demonstrator Support this morning and they verified that it is perfectly fine to post new preview sets anywhere you would like (personal blogs, SCS, SU demo website, etc). This is a change that went into effect during the last few months and DS said that the demonstrator manual may not reflect this new change. If you have any comments of this nature please be courteous in the future and email me and please do not post a comment on my blog to this effect. I take being a demonstrator very seriously and I would not do anything (to my knowledge anyway) that I was not supposed to do as a demonstrator.

Thanks to my faithful followers that always read my blog and for posting your ever faithful comments. Have a great week!!

Pam

EDITED TO ADD: DS has been called a second time after numerous people told me that the last update to our demonstrator manual was last month in November 2008 and that surely I talked to a DS staff person that was mis-informed. DS assured me (again) they would be sending out a message on the SU demonstrator website telling all demos they have changed their policy again. We CAN post preview items early. GO HAVE FUN LADIES!!

Wish I would have seen it. Can't see any harm this would have done. In fact, it might help another SU rep sell the set to any one of their customers who may have seen it.
Love your site. Keep up the good work.

That's weird ... I read something like that on another blog and thought, "why wouldn't SU want demos to be showing off upcoming products?????" - that didn't make any sense. Thanks for the clarification, Pam!

So sorry people were mean to you about it!!! Life would be so much simpler if people would just be nice!

Thanks for letting us know!! I hadn't posted anything myself because I read on another blog that SU! said we couldn't, and so I just believed it. Trust, but verify is something I was taught in the AF - maybe I should have done that myself and I wouldn't have wasted time!! Sorry people were nasty about it. I know that the person who's blog I saw it on said SU! said it could make people hold off on ordering or something like that. I'm glad you called DS to clarify!!

Well, now, I was told (politely) that the Demonstrator Manual said we could not post any samples before the customers could buy the sets. I thought that was odd. Why not post early and get everyone excited about the new sets? Soooo, I removed my posts from my blog, but I put my posts on SCS in the SUB section. Now, I find out it's OK after all! LOL! I wish I had seen your blog sooner! You do nice work, BTW.
