MOJO83 - Thankful Blossoms
This is for Monday's MOJO Sketch Challenge - MOJO83. I have never been crazy about sketches with panels turned any way but straight. I have a really hard time turning them but I guess that's why they call them challenges, to get us out of our comfort zone. Well this one surely did but I'm really glad I decided to do it because I like the way it turned out.
I started out with a Baja Breeze card base and used Slumber Party Specialty paper for my designer paper. The coordinating colors are Riding Hood Red, So Saffron and Baja Breeze. I used two different sets from Verve Stamps called Thankful Blossoms and Petals & Stems. The flower is stamped in Riding Hood Red and Basic Black. I colored the petals that were plain in Baja Breeze and So Saffron with a Aqua Painter and the ink pads. It is mounted on a Rectangle Nestie. The butterfly was stamped in Black Brilliance on Riding Hood Red and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I put two small Kaiser Rhinestones on the butterflies back. The Saffron piece at the bottom has been cut with a Martha Stewart Border Punch. The sentiment is stamped and embossed with Black Brilliance Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. It is finished off with Riding Hood Red Grosgrain Ribbon.
That's it for today. Two posts in one day is unusual for me. I hope you enjoy them. Come back and see me again tomorrow. Talk to you soon.

This is just gorgeous! I know what you mean about crooked panels. I'm a straight panel girl myself but you did a wonderful job with this!
Love this card. I think I'm going to have to buy that paper pack. So bright and pretty.
First, this card design is AMAZING! WOW! It just takes my breath away, Pam!
Second, I just had to laugh ... I pretty much disregarded this sketch because of the tilted panel too! I'm with you ... things need to be straight! BUT, you did a wonderful job with it, and made it look so natural.
wow ... very beautiful
Simply gorgeous Pam! I'm starting to get more comfortable with tilting things too.. I'm doing it mainly on the insides of my cards right now:))
OMG....SHUT UP, this is gorgeous! where in the world have i been to have not seen this?!?
love your sketch card...great colors, and i can't believe you kept the crooked panel...i bet you almost had a fit, didn't you? LOL!
amazing job!
Great job with this challenge Pam - your card is just stunning!
Love the layout and the fabulous colours - yes, I struggle with layouts not being straight or symetrical too but once you actually take up a challenge and try something different, you are usually surprised at what you come up with!
This card is just great :-)
