I borrowed it from one of my friends and she got it for a $1 at Michaels. She got this designer paper from Hobby Lobby very cheap also and she gave me a sheet of it. She's a great friend. Halloween Cutie Bat

This my favorite of the Halloween cards I made. A friend brought this retired set to my house and I had to use it for this card. The bat is so cute. TFL!!!

Halloween, Here I Come

This is the first time in my life that I have ever created a Halloween card. I had some friends over Friday night to stamp and I actually made 4 Halloween cards. I will post 2 today and save the other 2 for tomorrow.
I have seen some cards on SCS using a spectrum pad and a brayer. Of course I had to try it and I love how it turned out. I brayed the ink on glossy paper and it gives it a much brighter look. I then rolled the Spooky wheel over that. TFL!!

I'm Slowly Getting Some Christmas Cards Done

I'm slowly but surely getting a few of my Christmas cards done. What I need to do is find one that would be easy to duplicate and do several at one sitting. All my friends know that I don't normally like to do but one of each card. That makes it hard to produce very many cards at a time but at least I'm getting a lot of originals. I hope you like this one. TFL!!

Stamps: Wondrous Gift, All in a Row, Many Merry Messages; Paper: Real Red, Always Artichoke, Close to Cocoa, Mellow Moss, Recollections Designer, Mellow Moss Strip from Happy Me Scrappin' Kit; Ink: Mellow Moss, Choc. Chip, Very Vanilla: Accessories: Non SU Gold Spiral Clip, Non SU Dotted Organdy Ribbon, Brads, Photo Corner Punch, Slit Punch, White Gel Pen.

SC142 - I'm Hung Up on This Set

Yes, I'm hung up on this set. It's makes the prettiest cards. I really hope they put this in the Idea Book & Catalog next year. It is so versatile. I stamped the tree with green and then took my thumb and wiped the ink off the star and the trunk and then colored them with a marker. I think it makes the tree look much better and that's the easiest way I have figured out to do it. TFL!!

Stamps: Season of Joy; Paper: Roe Red, Choc. Chip, Purely Pomegranate, River Rock, White, Holiday Harmony Designer; Ink: Always Artichoke, Choc. Chip, Versamark; Accessories: Non SU Artichoke Ribbon, Paper Piercer and Mat Pack, Markers in So Saffron and Choc. Chip.

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge WSC20

Groovy Stickle Christmas

I used Groovy Guava on another Christmas card. I'm not sure why but I love these colors together. This card measures 5 X 5 which is a size I don't normally make but I have been seeing so many pretty ones on other people's blogs. I used red and green Stickles to make the flowers on the Christmas tree and I doodled on the Pomegranate piece with my white gel pen. TFL!!

Fall is in the Air Punch Card

I used 5 punches on this card. I love our punches.

I'm in the mood now to do some fall cards. I'm not sure how long it will last because these are not the normal colors I like to use. Yes, I used the Crop-A-Dile again on this scalloped border to get some dry embossing on the card. I got my spiral punch out (that I've had for a long time) and decided to use it on this card. The piece of paper that is on the inside of the scallop is punched from the Apple Cider Designer paper. TFL!!

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, All Holidays, Leaves Awash Jumbo Wheel; Paper: Close to Cocoa, Chop. Chip, River Rock, Really Rust, Very Vanilla, Apple Cider Designer; Ink: Choc. Chip, Mellow Moss, Versamark; Accessories: River Rock Ribbon, Jumbo Wheel Handle, White Gel Pen, Punches as follows: Scallop Circle, 1-3/8" Circle, Slit, Word Window, and Spiral.

Fall Pick A Petal

I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch holes in the bottom of this card and then glued a strip of Choc. Chip behind it to show through the front. I have found that the Crop-A-Dile is a very versatile tool. TFL!!

Stamps: Pick a Petal, Hugs N Wishes; Paper: River Rock, Choc. Chip, Really Rust, Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa, Apple Cider Designer; Ink: Really Rust, River Rock, Choc. Chip; Accessories: River Rock Ribbon, Brads, Photo Corner Punch, Crop-A-Dile.

Elegant Baroque

I went out of the box and used colors that I am not used to using on this card. Elegant Eggplant is a color I use very rarely but I may be changing my mind after completing this card. I'm really liking the way this one came together. It's a little more elegant than I'm used to making. For the sentiment I double layered the word window punch. This is something we learned at Regionals. It makes the punch not look so plain. The sentiment is stamped on River Rock and layered with Old Olive. TFL!!
Stamps: Baroque Motifs, All Holidays; Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, River Rock, White, Brocade Background Designer; Ink: Elegant Eggplant, River Rock, Choc. Chip., Versamark; Accessories: Brad, Word Window Punch, Non SU Eggplant Ribbon.

I should have made this a Baby Card

I stamped the sentiment on this card before I realized how good it would have been for a baby card. Oh well, guess that means I need to make another one like it. I used the rock-n-roll technique on the flower. The 3 brads on this card came from A.C. Moore but the rest of the card is all SU. Oops, except for the ribbon too. TFL!!
Stamps: Wild About You, Just Cause I Like You, Whimsy Jumbo Wheel; Paper: Lavender Lace, Regal Rose, Temp. Turq., Wild Wasabi, White, Flowers for You Designer; Ink: Lavender Lace, Temp. Turq., Versamark, Basic Black; Accessories: Brads, Dotted Grosgrain Ribbon, Photo Corner Punch, Slit Punch, White Gel Pen, Jumbo Wheel Handle.

Fall Vases in Vogue

I used my Crop-A-Dile for dry embossing for the first time on this card (check out the very bottom of the card). This was something I learned how to do at Regionals using the mat pack from SU. You can use the mat pack as a template to get the embossing lined up in a row. I was pleased with the results. TFL!!

Patricia Robitaille Jewelry

Oh my!!! While I was browsing some stamping blogs I found Patricia's Blog that has some of the most beautiful jewelry on it. Patricia makes the beads herself and then puts them into necklaces or bracelets. Look at this picture of some heart necklaces. Was I right or what? GORGEOUS!!!

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #17

This is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #17. You can view it on her blog here. This was a great sketch but I had a hard time getting the inside of the circle completed to my satisfaction. This was actually my 3rd attempt on the circle portion. This card is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". Square cards are not usually my thing but they are growing on me.

I'm still loving the in-colors Groovy Guava and Purely Pomegranate together. They also look great combined with Soft Sky.

I cut the Guava circle out with my Coluzzle and sponged some Guava ink on it. I then used some scalloped scissors to make the scalloped circle on the outside. This was the first time I have used scissors to make a scallop circle. It took a few times practicing on some scrap paper but it ended up being fairly simple.

Thanks for looking.
